Shawcross is dog shite. We should have sold him three years ago.
That is my opinion, and if you hadn't noticed this is a football forum.
Hughes out now!!!

Can you really blame Ryan for waiting to see the outcome of Bruno's signing, and what wages he gets? Of course Ryan will want same as Bruno, at the very least!

I've always thought it may well be his last season with Stoke, ever since his spat, and his seemingly, dismayover some of the "supporters?" A while back

Let me guess, the article went on to say, 'Ryan Shawcross rompió la pierna de Aaron Ramsey en un desafío de horror'!

It seems to me that this is now becoming the most important issue at Stoke City.
Someone needs to get their finger out.
If this is not quickly resolved, with the state of progress on new signings and the farce with IT, I can confidently predict the new corner will not be ready for the first home match.

Don't worry the Shawcross contract is being sorted out by the same people who are getting us BMI.

Maybe he's getting as frustrated by the club's lack of ambition as the rest of us and is waiting to see what happens before he commits, hard to blame him at the moment.

It seems like they are all waiting for something to happen to somebody else before they make a decision. The circle of death awaits.

In a time where we're in desperate need to get the defence sorted "BEFORE" the season kicks off....we seem hell bent on fucking it up all together!!!
Desperately in need of a new right back, we offer Johnson another contract
Desperately in need of extra cover at left back, we bring in a young lad (fair enough, I ain't seen the youth yet???)
Fuckin about with Shawcross's contract
Fuckin about with the signing of BMI
piss arsing around with loaning Zouma
As it stands, I dread to think of the scorelines in the first six games alone!!!

Not to worry.

I don't see much of an issue here. He's got 12 months left on his existing contract. This is something that can be sorted out after the transfer window has closed. It probably suits Ryan for it to be that way as he can see what the squad looks like and he can get an idea of what salaries have been handed out to new arrivals

It's baffling. He's one of the only remaining parts of our recent history and club captain. He isn't over 30, so they can't use that excuse. Make him an offer in line with what he deserves and get him confirmed. Anything less is simply negligent by the club.

Is anything ever straight forward when Scholes is involved. Maybe one day he'll be fucked off for his continuous incompetence

Its somewhere in his to do pile along with everything else he hasn't done yet. Perhaps he just keeps having a little go at each thing and then moves onto something else. Its probably underneath that letter inviting young Dele Alli up for a trial.

Ryan makes a monumental fuck up in a friendly and goes off injured = he's useless, take the arm band off him, get rid.
Ryan hasn't been offered a new contract yet = the club is going down the pan, Tony Scholes useless, very worrying news
.. Nothing changes on here.

In some ways, this is the most worrying development of pre-season isn't it? Not really. There's never been a problem sorting his contract out before, as far as we know. Now there is. Why do we think that is? It suggests either the club/management is losing faith in its longest serving player and captain for some reason, or said captain is reticent about signing a new deal. It again suggests something, somewhere isn't right.
