Is it just me or is that story particularly unhelpful in terms of telling us anything useful? I read it earlier and I was none the wiser after I had read it. It was about as useful as last month's Conservative election manifesto. “But that is a very simple statement about what can be a very complicated and long process. There’s always talks. People talk about `have talks started?' We've been in contact." Scholesy is wittering inanely away like David Davis going in to todays brexit negotiations

To have a good defence you need good full backs. IMHO, ours are not very good! No problem with Ryan or Martins Indi, but they cannot cover everything!

To start the new season minus one Club legend would be understandable. To start minus two Club legends would be questionable. To start minus two Club legends and the most important player in our recent history would be relegatable. Who is the other one?

It's a low news week and somebody had to write something about SCFC. They seemed to have picked from the headline maker. "Important player ... needs new contract for ... years". Both players are on holiday and probably haven't got a scooby that this is going on.

Have to say Scholes comments in Sentinel hardly filled me with confidence. Maybe something is in the air. Plus ive not seen any comments from Hughes since seasons end?

People talk about `have talks started?' We've been in contact." Is that not clear enough for you? I'm not sure what Scholes can do really, he's come out and spouted absolute gibberish and poured more darkness on the situation than light and still people complain.

If Scholesy needs any more psycho-babble he should 'borrow' this from David Davis yesterday at the brexit talks and put it in the Ryan context! “It’s not how it starts, it’s how it finishes that matters,” Davis said in Brussels after the first day of formal talks. “Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed.”

I wouldn't be to surprised if he did rejoin up with Tone, think they have a good working relationship together formed over the years together, Pulis would know exactly what he's getting and how to get the best out of him. Ryan took some stick from the crowd last season (some of it maybe justified, but certainly not all) Point being Tone knows how to set up a defence where it's claimed Hughes doesn't even bother working on it in training. I know who'd Id want to play for if I was getting to the later stages of my career and wanted to make that one last push for the national side, under Hughes he'll never get the opportunity. All in all he's been a great servant to our club and helped us achieve where we are today, something I'd never forget. I hope he stays and finished his career with us but if he wants to move on, I wouldn't blame him.

Whelan. Walters. Shawcross. Oh. Obviously. Massive players in the incredible story of our promotion, stabilisation and success over the last decade.

She isn't going to broadcast on twatter something the club and her husband have kept deliberately under wraps. I read that as her having been a bit indiscreet in her first tweet and then back tracking massively in her second to try and cover up her indiscretion. So not so hmm as far as I'm concerned.
