There isn't a realistic alternative, he's staying anyway, so let's get behind him and the team.

It isn't, mate. He lumbers about like a player whose best days were a long long time ago. That turn and shot yesterday nearly brought the house down mate it was awesome. Each game you can see him becoming sharper, more alert and he's a strong lad. This lad will be a huge success here I guarantee you Walters, Diouf or Crouch put that shot in the Boothen End. Really hard to get that on target and he nearly scored. He's knocking on the door.

Hughes is staying and rightly so BUT what made me laugh about praise and grumble sat was most callers were saying this is the worst football since promotion. Are some of you supporters stupid? Pulis last 20 months was like pulling teeth out EVERY game especially away games, have you fuckers forgot that? Cause I havent and never will, we play like Barcelona compared to that shit. Hughes in.

I don't think that's the point, try comparing our last 18 months with Hughes' first 18 months and you'll easily see the rate of regression. Some people are now increasingly worried this slide will continue and have lost faith in Hughes' ability to change the current rate of our demise. It's got nothing to do with "raised expectations" as Hughes puts it as far as I'm concerned, it's the fact he should be doing a lot better than he is, both in terms of results and "style" of play. Anyway, I'll back him if he stays but I don't think he should be here next season, it's my opinion and I don't care if I get abused for it.

The title of the show is incorrect. It should be renamed Grumble & Grumble.

Try watching Stoke v Man C and Man U from last season then watch the same fixtures this season.
Yes, both Manchester clubs are in transition but where did our swagger go?

I'm one of the "fuckers" who haven't forgotten what the football under Pulis was like - and it rightly got him the sack. And if you think our away performances since the turn of the year (how many minutes without a goal?) have been any better - if not worse - then you really haven't been paying attention.

It wasn't just about performances under Toxic was it? It was about having ZERO ambition to win a game of football away from home. At least the current shower do show a bit.

I don't think anyone wants TP back
I don't think there is anyone in the potteries, unaware that Hughes and Bowen have massive football knowledge .
I might be wrong ( ? ) but I think the question is ...
Are we now in a situation, where the club should look to bring in some fresh ideas at the top ?
Perhaps someone like the Hull boss ? or the Fulham boss ?
In other words ... Is it time for a change ?

It was also about the reluctance to properly engage with Carto ~& co, the falling season tickets, a dysfunctional dressing and perhaps TP playing politics/silly buggers in the final six months too. I reckon.
