I think the point with nzonzi is not that he left but that we were naive enough to get ourselves into a position where the best midfielder and one of the best in Europe was able to leave for peanuts , that's simply what doesn't happen elsewhere with the jewel in the crown , look at lukaku , everyone knows he is going but he has signed a new contract at Everton .
on the other side we miss out Redmond Soares etc , often we are the last resort Shaq , on some we overpay , imbula , on others we extend Johnson crouch where there seems no need , seems we far too often for coincidence come up with the shitty end of the stick and that's simply not a Hughes issue .

Not sure why so much oxygen has been wasted on a cyclist twatting, wife beating transfer requesting cockwomble (alledgement).
Anyway, Shawcross. Is it unreasonable to think his next contract may not be on as generous terms as his current one due to injuries, age and form? I wouldn't be in too much of a rush either.

Yes it is unreasonable. A fit Shawcross will be offered top dollar and he should be at his peak.

Based on this season, who deserves a bigger pay packet - Ryan or Bruno?
Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer he stayed but I don't think, for instance, he could justify the "match the top earner" clause he allegedly has in his contract.

He's rejected a new 5 year deal? He signed one last summer And now he's rejected one so they'll be in the same dilemma as other clubs when a player won't sign come the end of next season....

N'Zonzi didn't want to sign a new contract, and saying it doesn't happen anywhere else is nonsense.

Yes it is unreasonable. A fit Shawcross will be offered top dollar and he should be at his peak. He doesn't look at his peak and unfortunately it looks like the injuries are taking their toll, thats not saying he should be sold or anything but he may be disappointed if he wants improved terms.

He's rejected a new 5 year deal? He signed one last summer No he didn't Everton are now in a similar boat to what we were in, the 1 key difference is he's had a storming season so everybody wants him, N Zonzi was getting better but had been dropped in the season so was still under the radar compared to Lukaku. We chose to Keep N Zonzi for another season, I suspect Everton will be forced to cash in.
