Means absolutely nout. We beat them a year ago, that was followed with us scraping a win against wales, 2 shit draws against russia and slovakia, then getting knocked out by Iceland. I hope stones plays and gets absolutely rinsed.

He probably will but the media wont see it like that and come up with any old excuse to show it wasnt his fault and that he is 'going' to be a world class defender.

Mate, a lot of people thought the same thing in the days before June 27th!

Meh..... I'm more interested in it being an opportunity to say thank you and goodbye to Poldolski. You may win, but it'll be a good chance for us to let some youngsters get some good experience and senior members to be eased back in. If it was a competitive game, obviously it would be different

If any people are anything like me then at the moment my interest is in my club and I am pretty much disinterested in my national side at the moment. This team seems to be going nowhere and there is really nothing to be excited about!

I have been permanently scarred since that 1-5 when I was watching the game in London.....expecting a close game and probable win by us. It was a fun week afterwards To be fair as I have got older, I've viewed friendlies as an opportunity to develop the team come what may, compared to when I was younger and every game mattered. It is the same as in Germany, we want to win friendlies, but if we don't there is not the gnashing of teeth (less the Bild but that is trash) as we know it is not the end. The expectation rises when it comes to the business end of competition.... then it is win or else

I can never get my head around anyone not being arsed about England playing let alone vs the Germans.
100% guarantee if we did do anything in a tournament everyone would jump on it saying they've always loved England. Bollocks
WE STILL BELIEVE

It'll be a pointless farce from start to finish, we'll win get excited and fail at the next tournament and have a root and branch review about how we need to blood more younger players even though the premier league or 'EPL' could not give two shades of shit who the players are aslong as they keep bringing the money in and keep ripping off the fans who work bloody hard to watch this shit. Then because the national team has fucked up they'll get Rooney or some other prick on to explain how they'll all dead gutted that 'at the end of the day' they're all a gutless shower of shite Repeat every two years until we all eventually die anyway, God I love the national team Just enjoy the game.

Yes I do admit that we have some promising young players who feature well in the Premier League but you will have to excuse me if I don't get carried away as I seem to be remembering being in the same position not too long ago. I experienced my national team winning the World Cup in 1966. I would love us to reach that level once again and I suppose I always live in hope but it is going to take a series of super performances to lift my spirits after the performances in the Euros.
