Nobody. Probably just used for people who want to move there and schools/giveaway tickets.
The away fans shouldn't be moved imo

With s/t info for next year coming out people may want to move to corner ?? ...apologies if I have missed an earlier thread When they applied for planning permission for the corner and drew up the plans (4 or 5 years ago) they said that they planned to move the family area southwards so part of it would be in the new corner leaving spare seats in the DPD stand which would be sold to non family area fans. But they could have changed their minds by now. I suppose we will find out the current plans when the early bird season tickets go on sale.

In case of any problems causing delays to the stand being ready in time for the new season I'd imagine it'll just be for general matchday sales next year.
The away fans won't be moved.

Cheers! That's going to be tight! Yup, that's why I can't see them allocating Season ticket sales in there next season. Any slight problem and they'd be potentially looking at moving 1,000+ people to temporary seats with probably only a couple of thousand seats to choose from.

We shouldn't be selling season tickets in there anyway, far too much of our ground is taken up by season tickets. The new corner should be left as unreserved seating, preferably pay-on-the-day, then we can finally get an idea of what kind of demand we have (If we're turning plenty away each match we obviously need another corner filling in) and more crucially it'll give gangs of teens/early 20's the chance to go along with their mates... Just like most of us on here used to do; before the same 20-odd thousand people kept clogging up all the seats. The average age of our crowd must have gone up ten years since we've been back in the top-flight, when did you last see gangs of younger lads bowling down the ground together? (Besides at cup games when everyone turns into a snob & moans about them.)

Yeah it's got to be left for general sale and promotions.

Tight? Are we building a new stand or a corner?
Jesus, they've got 7 months to put in 1800 seats.

Tight? Are we building a new stand or a corner? Jesus, they've got 7 months to put in 1800 seats. I agree. I can't see why anyone would think there would be a problem in finishing the work by the beginning of August - barring flood famine or plague, of course. The footings are already in place and we are increasing the capacity of the stadium by less than 10%. I'd say the timetable is generous.

The steel industry can rebuild a blast furnace in 3 months, costing ยฃ100ms; the Redcar furnace is was as big as St Paul's cathedral. You can do anything in a reasonable timescale, it just needs planning, procurement, resourcing, and organisation; plus of course a bit of will power and determination.

Well, here is one person who thinks they will finish in good time. So your statement doesn't stand up, does it?

Cheers! That's going to be tight! Nearly nine months to build a little corner with footings already in place is more than adequate. The roof and basic structure will be up before the end of the season.

Apparently they cant find the existing footing so are having to start to put new one in if they uncover the existing footings it will bring the completion date forward, this is according to Scholes in an interview with radio Stoke. Gouranga.

Either you've made this up and it's actually pretty funny, or it's completely true, which makes it funnier still.

I was down the ground yesterday sorting some meetings out, been nosey I had a wander around the work cabins by Delias, lucky had my Hi Viz and safety boots.Talking to one of the project engineers I asked about the footings, his answer was if they are there or not the area has to be dug up so the building inspector can survey them and check against the original plans.Civil engineering is a complex business ,and with all the regs a check system is in place and until the inspector said you can move on ,you have to wait around.I was involved in the construction of the QE11 bridge,30%of the time was taken up with inspectors either waiting for them or waiting for the ok.

I imagine we will ask for more away games at start of season to allow for delays like Liverpool did this season.
