Look on his Twitter feed, he tweets about meeting the kids. Did it himself spontaneously, no media around so nothing in it for him, and he then tweeted wishing the school representing Stoke good luck, again off his own back. club very pleased about his attitude Whoosh! Double whoosh!!!!!!!!!!

What's this, maybe play on Wednesday night, but Tony said he wasn't fit, he sent him off to fat camp, surely Mr Pulis wouldn't have lied in a vile, toxic poisonous vindictive manner just to be spiteful, would he after all he's our friend, our hero.

any more context than that at all? Only heard a brief interview on Radio Stoke news. Hoping praise and grumble at 6pm will perhaps go into more depth. It was mentioned in the Sentinel this afternoon - www.stokesentinel.co.uk/saido-berahino-ready-to-get-cracking-with-stoke-city/story-30091843-detail/story.html"I'm still young, only 23, I'm still learning the game and not the final product," said Berahino this afternoon.
"It's going to be a year to get back what I used to be, I'm just trying to focus on getting back to what I was.
"Of course I an play (v West Brom). That's what footballers are paid to do.
"I have been booed before at that ground while I'm playing for them, so it's not going to make a difference."
On his fitness, he continued: "I'm not far off - and match fitness I'm not far off again.
"The sports scientist was actually surprised, so I'm not far off at all, I'm good."

I've got a feeling he will do better than Mr Kitson anyway 😀....Nothing like buying a new striker to get the juices flowing.😉

Iv got an awful feeling he's going to be played on the right Don't be daft, you'll be saying Hughes will play a striker he was after for years at right wing-back next.

Just discussing him in the 5Live build up tonight. Townsend and J Percy chipping in.
Played a clip from SB claiming no bad blood @ WBA (Morrison didn't punch him) and got good wishes from all.
Townsend ( I know, I know...) did make the overiding point that it was an extraordinary leap of faith for us / Sparky to give him a five year deal given that he is nowhere near the player he was 18months / 2 yrs ago and, wait for it, looks overweight... and that it's all in his court to repay that faith.
A view that I have some sympathy with tbh.
That said, of course I hope he can and will - preferably starting Wednesday.

The whole leap of faith thing works both ways, as Saido knows this is his final chance to salvage a still promising career, if it goes tits up here you would have to say it's game over in terms of a top flight career.

To an outsider, it might easily seem Greg Rutherford-esque.
And to some extent, I agree. If we had offered two or three (thus limiting our exposure should it all go Pete Tong) then he would still have come.
That said, I like how we treat players 'correctly' (a la Rory for e.g.) and hopefully that will be an extra incentive.

Whelan is on the blower to the local butchers as we speak putting in an order for a pigs head... Saw Whelan and blower in the same sentence and dear God I was excited. You can imagine my disappointment when I properly read this. What a let down.

I think at £12m we're getting an English 23 year old who has done it in the Prem. In today's over inflated market of you just read it as that we've got a bargain. It is still a risk though, totally agree - of it comes off the reward will be great!

Watched his interview on sky earlier.
He's a young lad who made a mistake and West Brom never let him forget it. For what ever reason pulis continued the bullying.
Delighted to be away and chuffed we ended his nightmare.
He comes across a genuine lad
Hope he repays us.
I think he will in spades

I didn't really want him due to past but lets all get behind him and give him a chance. But if (don't think he will!) he reads these forums he'll know that he'll get flack if he doesn't do the stuff.

Being a quality striker himself I'am sure Hughes will pass on some tips and help the lad develop his game...If he gets his head down and works hard, Saido can help take us to the promised land...Then again I got a Hard- on when we signed Shaq.... So time will tell.

He had every incentive to play the Svengali role he does so well.

For me, I think he will be just as important as Bojan interacting with fans and being humble realizing the situation he is in makes him a privileged person, In another tweet I saw to answer Claytonscrubs, he said one of the main reasons he come to Stoke, because window after window we chased him, and speaking to Hughes he felt that he would make him a better player in the long run.

I think he will in spades I liked what pulis did for us but i wonder if With Berahino was west brom fans favourite when pulis took over , pulis wanted a big man upfront and it didnt suit Tony's style and with pulis being stubborn in his footballing ways he turned the fans against him and manipulated him. Perhaps i read too much into things and i make 2+2 =5
