Bayern: This makes absolutely no sense. Why bother posting things on here if you don't care what people think? That's the whole point of a chat room, which is place where people give their opinions and other people agree or disagree. If you don't care what people think you might as well send yourself an email or keep a private diary. Personally I value your opinions and enjoy the banter - just don't take things so personally. You might consider the possibility that a few people enjoy winding you up, which frankly is pretty easy to do. Do you think if I took it personally I'd post on here still? That thread about me was tantamount to bullying, it doesn't bother me. Why carry on posting you say! Because I like moaning, this is a place to moan. Always has been, always will be. Apparently you do care or you would just ignore it. I have looked at other teams' chat rooms and they all pretty lame compared with the Oatcake. I have also learned a lot about the game in general and Stoke in particular since I started to participate. I started to enjoy it more once I realized it's impossible to have the last word because the odds are stacked against me. It helps to be 6 hours behind because I log on about the time most people are going to bed, except for those buggers in the land down under - they are really annoying. Keep it up!

Bayern's a classic narcissist folks, embrace him: 1) Conversation hoarder - no. of posts (more specifically REPEAT posts proves this) 2) False image Projection - "I'm always right" "I don't fail in anything I do" etc etc 3) Grandiose Personality - Exaggerated sense of self importance "Stop stalking me" "I don't give a shit what anyone thinks of me or my opinion" etc etc 4) Negative emotions - "The club is rotten" "Hughes needs to go" "It's small time thinking, typical Stoke on Trent mentality" etc etc I could go on but Homeland has just started.... I see you have read the article in the Atlantic Magazine about Mr. Trump's personality traits. If not, I highly recommended it. It comes up first on the list if you Google "Trump and psychologist".

Sorry, I thought his thread was about Bojan. I think this is the shittiest piece of business Stoke have done since forcing Greenhoff to go to the Shit if anyone's interested. I suppose we can look forward to watching the ball being chipped up to Crouch at every opportunity while Berahino and Imbula sit on their arses wondering what they're doing here. And of course Walters will be rushed back into the team asap so that he can run up and down to zero effect. This is a black day, and unfortunately a lot of fans don't even recognise it as such. Still at least the pensioners army....oh fuck it, I can't be arsed.

But if we go on an unbeaten run and end the season really well most Stoke fans won't bat an eyelid....

So we'd be putting a square peg in a round hole and hoping for the best then, ace. Where did you get putting a square peg in a round hole from that? He can play there so therefore he's not a square peg is he? Sorry to take the thread back a whole hour but, on the subject of Bojan going, and Shaqiri playing the number 10 role, or not, and Robin saying Shaqiri can play there and so on.... Ryan CAN play right back. Pieters CAN play centre back. Arnie CAN play right wing. Cameron CAN play....well you get my point, and that is I agree with Bayern and what I think he's saying that why play Shaqiri there? His best position is the one he's played more than (probably) 95% of his career. On the right.

I just hope it gives him a chance to reboot in a league that suits his talents better - after a couple of amanzing, glorious spells for us it's been so painful watching Bojan fail to regain consistent form.
So, thanks for everything, good luck, never forgotten around here and always welcome back for me.

But it just shows how disjointed it's all got. I'll copy and paste what I said an hour ago.. "Might lead to a slight change of system. Instead of having 1 behind the striker we might have 1 in front of the back 4 who basically doesn't move. I'd assume that would be Whelan with 2 midfielders in front of him. Any 2 from Allen, Afellay, Imbula and Adam.. which doesn't seem so bad to me. Leaving Arnie and Shaq to roam in and around the striker more without a typical "number 10" in that position potentially taking up space they could use" .. now Bayern, is that such a bad thing? Or does this #10 obsession mean we can't play in a different way? I'm hoping the gaffer isn't as rooted in a way of playing as you think he is.

It's neat and tidy and you could just as easily give Adam, Imbula or Even Ireland a go in there but the creativity going on in front of them. The key for me is to get in a more imposing DM in. Cameron could do a job but I'd love a young, 6'2, athletic enforcer in there in the Kante, Guaye mould.
