Yeah let's take away everyone's wage after a mistake at work.
Spilled wine over the floor in Sainsbury's? No pay this month for you
Put cheese on someone's Subway when they didn't ask for it? Month unpaid.
Shit happens, deal with it.

Some people seem very keen to stick the knife in to Arnie. Almost like they've been waiting for him to do something wrong. I admire their patience if not their level of support.

He obviously doesn't have to train over the holiday period either.

Stupid insinuation. With that logic, I'm going to go punch my boss in the face for the entire month off for the holidays. Grow up.

He'll still be training every day, and invariably suspended players attend matchdays in the stands or behind the dugout, so he's not really having Xmas off...

Out until the 3rd of Jan. Christmas and New Year off. Coincidence? IMO he needs a month unpaid It stinks, I can see there being a rut of players intentionally doing this, hopefully that's it for us, but between now and this weekends games others will knowingly be fully aware of there actions. Totally unacceptable by Marko.

If he'd been playing for any other team it would only have been a yellow

yellow all day long, never a red. What disappointed me was the fact that it was needless, we were not really under any pressure.

It was a stupid moment and an easy red to give. Foot high into the knee is a red all day.
He clearly reacted because we should have won the thrown-in and he acted a bit silly.
Vicious no, but very hair-brained and he will surely be apologising to his team mates in the morning

It stemmed from the fact we were completely on the back foot and under the cosh from the off.
That game needed pace and quality in every position but MH went back to 'safe'.
After the sending off we, of course, had the right characters on the pitch to secure a terrific point.
Those first 15 minutes though... :-(

Technically, dare I say pedantically by the STRICT rules of the game it was a red. But a lot of refs would have let it go with a yellow.
As it is the challenge was foolhardy and unnecessary. He got a red. No need to victimise him. He didn't kill anybody.

A red every day, although in Palace v United Lee got nothing for an identical challenge. Refereeing has been shocking recently.

The real question is, 'what punishment will Ward-Prowse get for the dive that prompted the incident?'
I'd say he deserves 18 months out of the game, and a ban from ever playing for England again.
