Would anybody guess he was trying to win a place in the team? Jesus Christ, he was absolutely abysmal. Penalty miss aside (which was amateurish) he had absolutely no impact on the game whatsoever. He should've been dragged off much earlier.
Points thrown away.

I'm a fan of his but he was awful today.
Unfortunately, he doesn't get a spot in our best eleven.
He'll probably play next week though with Allen out.

The excuse is that he's not a midfielder, he's a striker. But I agree. I don't think he'll ever fit in a Mark Hughes team. Or in fact most teams. I'd be over him leaving in about a week.

In complete agreement.
I love the little Catalan and what he brought to the club when he came at first, but he has simply been outclassed by other players in the no. 10 role.
Should've buried that penalty. Disappointed beyond belief.

He should be in for some disciplinary action now. We don't cheat like that at Stoke, and it needs stamping out. How can I moan about the referee and Bournemouth's antics when one of our players does something like that? It was utterly, utterly embarrassing. I was actually glad that he missed it, I'd rather lose than score like that.
Should we exclude him from the first team squad for three weeks? Fine him a month's wages? Force him to spend a week with Mackey?

At the end of the day, when it's reviewed on the TV tonight they will say that Ryan should have been sent off and Bojan dived, with no mention of their cheating.

Shit pen though, and he was poor, but so was Shaq, Charlie, Erik, Wilf. Poor game.

I don't really care what the TV idiots say. I'd quite happily see a cruise missile knocking at their studio door.

He was crap but anyone with a memory knows he's probably the best player at the club. He knew he was poor and he came off the pitch and punched the bench in anger. He absolutely loves the game and he will come good again if given a run of games:

Playing with zero confidence. Took Allen's rightful position. Imbula should have been on instead of him and Allen way further forward.
How he was allowed to take the pen astounds me. Shaq would have buried it.

I'm more annoyed with his pathetic attempt at closing the opposition down and trying to win the ball back. Aka, floating around like a soggy plastic bag in the wind. With the ball his decision making was quite simple baffling and shite.
Oh yeah, everyone else on the pitch were shite too.

It's typical Sparky though isn't it? He started Crouchy the very next game after he scored 3 at Stevenage. Now he's done the same with Bojan after West Ham. There are dozens of other examples of this type of reward, whether it's good for the team or not.

If it were upto me, I would've subbed him in the first 20 minutes. He was beyond embarrassing. I distinctly recall a moment in the first half when Allen played a 40 yard ball from inside his own half to Bardsley down right hand side who then played a teasing cross into the box which was improperly cleared by the Bournemouth defenders only for it to reach Joe Allen again who had made a lung busting run from inside his half. In the meantime Bojan was clueless jogging near the halfway line. GET IN THE BOX & HELP THE PLAYER IN POSSESSION YOU FUCKING TWAT !!!
Anyways I don't blame him for missing the penalty, I know he was desperate to prove himself to the manager & he had the courage to pick up the ball himself when he was already under a lot of pressure for having a poor game. Understandable that he missed the penalty, what I can't accept is his overall performance. Btw Bony was no better.

Can't live in the past. This is today. Today he was garbage. We cannot carry passengers.
We haven't really missed him on our little unbeaten run (west ham goal aside which probably would have been a penalty of if he had missed)

Nobody set the game on fire did they? Singling out one poor performer in a team of shit performances is a bit unfair, with someone like Bony in front of him who has the movement of a combine harvester he hasn't really got much on has he?
He's a mint player but we've suddenly stopped being able to play the formations that suit him and we've bought players for positions they don't fit either, Imbula was the Zonz replacement, Allen was the Whelan replacement who then replaced Zonz/Imbula and then Bojan and we're left with the same holes we had before except now there's no space for Bojan

Tell me did any of our midfielders create a single opening for him? Every single striker at the club has suffered not for lack of competence but because they don't get any service. Bony was at least useful in clearing some corners in our own box.

A lot easier to give decent service if you know the guy is going to move, many times the ball went in and Bony was either second best or yards behind where he should be... It's not really a dig at Bony but a dig at everyone, every Stoke player was off the pace except Arnie but only Bojan is being torn a new one

He absolutely loves the game and he will come good again if given a run of games: The best player at the club is Arnautovic & there's no 2 ways about it because not only has he been the our most consistent player for the past 18 months, he's also arguably one of the hardest working players in the squad who puts a shift in every single game. Bojan is in some ways the complete opposite, hopelessly inconsistent & never willing to put in a tackle to try to win back possession.
