Not one of his best games, but I didn't think he was as bad as some are making out on here....he played through the middle and they were closing him down straight away!!!

The game was lost because our midfield failed to stamp any authority on the game so all are to blame for me.

Bit unfair on Bojan. Compared to shaqiri and bony he had a good game. Arnie was not thinking right either. Poor game all round. No one was threatening enough. Shouldn't point the finger at bojan.

Bony can only be effective if we give him some service. Tell me did any of our midfielders create a single opening for him? Every single striker at the club has suffered not for lack of competence but because they don't get any service. Bony was at least useful in clearing some corners in our own box. A lot easier to give decent service if you know the guy is going to move, many times the ball went in and Bony was either second best or yards behind where he should be... It's not really a dig at Bony but a dig at everyone, every Stoke player was off the pace except Arnie but only Bojan is being torn a new one I think Bardsley & Pieters had a decent game.

Play 442 with him alongside Bony FFS etc etc. Seriously, stop playing with a lone fucking striker.

I have zero sympathy for ANY professional footballer missing a penalty, with only a tiny handful of exceptions where goalkeepers have done something amazing / fluky. This one was nothing to do with the goalie, Bojan simply couldn't even hit the target from that close up and with all other play around him stopped. There is simply no excuse, especially given the amount he's paid. He's getting stick for it and damn right too. If he was otherwise brilliant he might have been cut some slack but....

Would anybody guess he was trying to win a place in the team? Jesus Christ, he was absolutely abysmal. Penalty miss aside (which was amateurish) he had absolutely no impact on the game whatsoever. He should've been dragged off much earlier. Points thrown away. Tough job when you're playing behind an idle fucker just passing time dreaming of his next payday.

One of quite a few that were way off the pace today ,we had enough chances but at times it looked like some of the performances towards the end of last season too slow and too many players not working hard enough

Bojan is quality even the world class players have a bad game , it's football it happens He's played well for six weeks. The rest of the time he's been mediocre. He was far too deep today and was very poor. To be fair he wasn't the only one.

He was crap but anyone with a memory knows he's probably the best player at the club. He knew he was poor and he came off the pitch and punched the bench in anger. He absolutely loves the game and he will come good again if given a run of games: The best player at the club is Arnautovic & there's no 2 ways about it because not only has he been the our most consistent player for the past 18 months, he's also arguably one of the hardest working players in the squad who puts a shift in every single game. Bojan is in some ways the complete opposite, hopelessly inconsistent & never willing to put in a tackle to try to win back possession. Agree there. There's Arnie and there's Allen and even when those two have a less than stellar game, you somehow fee they've put a shift in and just been unlucky. If the rest were like them I could forgive a defeat like this. Then again if the rest were like them we wouldn't have lost. Maybe that's unfair. Grant deserves a special pardon because he was very good. Again.

He should be able to turn away from trouble and buy himself a yard with his first touch, or he shouldn't be on the pitch

Bojan is a bit of a sad sight in all honesty. We all want him so dearly to perform at the level we know he can but his confidence is shot.
On top of that his complete lack of workrate is not possible in todays Premier League - even the likes of David Silva have to occassionally put in a tackle or Guardiola would have a rant at him.
If I was a teammate of Bojans I would get mighty pissed off every time he just lets a guy drift by him without even attempting a tackle.
Not sure what the answer is. He cant play as a lone striker and hes not influencing things enough to play as Number 10 at the moment.

He should be in for some disciplinary action now. We don't cheat like that at Stoke, and it needs stamping out. How can I moan about the referee and Bournemouth's antics when one of our players does something like that? It was utterly, utterly embarrassing. I was actually glad that he missed it, I'd rather lose than score like that. Should we exclude him from the first team squad for three weeks? Fine him a month's wages? Force him to spend a week with Mackey? He did the same before..at Swansea I think. Embarrassing and not something I condone.

Bojan is obviously very talented, we just don't play the right formation to get the best out of him, we've also spent £30m on players to replace Zonz and one of them has replaced Bojan

I think Bojan's still a useful player to have in the squad and in certain games (like coming on against West Ham a few weeks ago, or Man City last season when a team leaves plenty of space at the back)
Week in, week out though we've seen Joe Allen is twice the player Bojan is in that advanced midfield position.
Both are capable of making chances and scoring goals when further forward. Allen also goes hunting for the ball and puts teams under pressure in their own half which we lacked today. Gosling, Arter and Wilshere had all the time in the world to build from the back.

Playing with zero confidence. Took Allen's rightful position. Imbula should have been on instead of him and Allen way further forward. How he was allowed to take the pen astounds me. Shaq would have buried it. Surely he is not the normal Penalty taker, so why did he take this one?
I agree that he pays for a spot instead of Joe Allen as a one for one swap and today was a match Imbula should have had an opportunity.

He's not suited the role we ask of him in my opinion and there has been too many games recently where he's had little to no impact.
Whilst he's one of the more technically gifted players at the club he's not quick enough to play as an out and out striker and I don't think he's creative enough to pull the strings in that advanced role.
Hard to know what to do with him.

He also won us the penalty from pretty much nothing, if that was our only real chance of merit the whole game then Shaqiri, Arnie and Bony deserve just as much shit as Bojan Like i said, nobody covered themselves in glory today but Bojan is the passenger i'd choose to keep on the pitch, we had way more trouble defending due to Allen not naturally being a box to box and Adam is just Adam We're in a position due to strange transfer activity where we can't play a formation that suits Bojan because we haven't got a natural box to box and the box to box we bought to replace our most expensive player purchase ever (imbula) has replaced Bojan..
