Seems to be flavour of the month now he's left us.... Really pleased for the lad. Did well for us, had his weaknesses, worked on them and improved them and left us for trophies. I hope he gets everything he wants.

Seems to be flavour of the month now he's left us.... The best signing we have ever made in the PL, the fee we accepted for him was disrespectful to him and us.

Left to better himself and has already improved as a player. His next move will be Barca/Madrid or one of the Premier League big hitters, good luck to him......

To be honest, I thought he was already good enough to get into virtually any top midfield in Europe when he left.

.. and yet, am I right in saying he still can't get into the French squad? Madness.

I said he was our Viera and got absolutely slated on here. So glad the player is being recognised for the quality he obviously has. Wish he was still at Stoke though

who cares. I believe that cunt set us back 12 months at least. 6-1 against Lpool and we were dancing. He fucks off and we struggle, spending 3x as much on Imbula who hasn't come to the party

And his £18m replacement sits on his lazy sulking arse. What? Did Hughes not say his attitude to being dropped had been excellent? How is he sulking? Because it's a really easy stick to beat Hughes/Imbula/the club with, even if it isn't true. On topic though: I'm really happy for N'Zonzi. Didn't leave for the money but left us to better himself as a footballer, win silverware and play in Europe. He's class and we still massively miss him.

Wish he was still at Stoke though And his £18m replacement sits on his lazy sulking arse. TBF N'Zonzi was often criticized for his attitude and for looking to leave at every opportunity. He made it pretty clear that he felt he was too good for Stoke. Joe Allen is definitely someone I'd want next to me in a foxhole, and he takes up less space.

I remember a few moanng about him sat around me saying hes too slow at moving the ball forward and slows attacks down. Then when he left , they were saying we need somebody with composure in midfield to settle things down.

I had an argument at work the season he left with a moron who didn't rate him.
It still gets me that some people actually thought he was shit, like how? How could you not see his class? Embarrassing.

The best player I've seen play for stoke live in the modern era.
In terms of an all round footballer, no one, fuller aside, really comes close.

Refreshing for a player to leave not for the money, but to better himself.
He's done that, although he was already excellent for us anyway.

Not that great a player for Stoke, perhaps because he didn't want to play for us.

If the move happens I wonder if the Barcelona forum will be full of people bemoaning the fact he only passes sidewards/backwards and doesn't create enough....

Can imagine he would be perfect for a Barcelona midfield with his ball retention and passing skills.
Stoke fans always knew what a class player he was, but he never got the recognition from other clubs fans or pundits whilst he was with us.
He had a reputation of being a bit of a clogger going from a functional Blackburn team to Pulis' Stoke.
He wasnt often on a highlights real on MOTD because he did his best work in the centre-circle and got us moving forward.
Im honestly not surprised at the level he is reaching in La Liga. But ask a non-Stoke/Blackburn fan of their opinion on Nzonzi and it would be quite desultory because he didnt play at a fashionable club whilst in the Prem
