What a fucking ridiculous thread title. Hardly Imbula's fault. Firstly there was a guy who signed him. Secondly there is a guy who chooses to play him. Thirdly there is a guy who chooses to play him in a system that is completely fucked to the point it isn't really a system at all but a bunch of players running around in a disorganised fashion. Our shit run of form is entirely down to Hughes and after 3 years he still has no idea what is best 11 is. He needs to sort it out before November or he's gone I suspect. He deserves until November. I agree. It's ridiculous to blame one player for the shambles we have become. Out of interest, what IS our best 11, Rossi? Good question mate we've got so many square pegs. With Butland out I'd probably go something along the lines of Grant, Johnson, Bruno, shawcross, muniesa, Arnie, Allen, imbula, bojan, ramadan, bony Whelan or Imbula along with Walters have to be dropped.

He struggled that much Rob that he played in every league and cup game up to is injury against Sunderland.I'm pretty sure Hughes would have dropped/rested him if he was that bad. There was no alternative was there? He wasn't playing well and was struggling with the change in style. I don't buy that tbh. He was playing injured which won't help and was then never given a chance despite pricing his fitness. It was a fuck up, an unnecessary one and one instigated by the manager.

Was he injured in August, September, October that season? He never looked comfortable with the high line or with the ball at his feet. Given that's how Highes wants to play, irrespective of whether that's stupid or not (I think it is, personally), he wasn't ever going to be cut out for that style. Can you recall a standout game he had under Hughes before he got injured?

He didn't but if you're carrying an injury it's not going to help is it?
