Is it reasonable to expect a club like Stoke to not have a dodgy spell of half a dozen games during a season? I'm not sure it's relevant whether it's at the start ,in the middle or at the end.All of our peers will have one ! Of course not but its part of the plan and that is unacceptable. We know it's going to happen and we do nothing to change that. That to me isn't acceptable and I don't get why anyone would find it so. I agree 100%

What are your thoughts on Muni as a C/H and the current depth of the squad? He's worth a try with his ball playing and positional strengths. Depth is always going to be an issue, I'm a realist and we'll never have full cover in full depth. Why? Because we're not Man Al Jazeera Megabucks City.

We're not Chelsea or Man City. We're a relatively small unknown club playing in a league with some global powerhouses.

Some of you think that MH isn't planning for next season or the one after, right now. Or that he doesn't have a plan to change our playing style, address weaknesses, or replacement plan for current players. You have a very low opinion of the man. He shouldn't have to cater to such ignorance, but I suppose that goes with the job. Thicko football fans and FM know it alls.... Generally speaking my opinion of the man for his 1st 2 years here were very high. Since the window where we sold Huth, Begovic, Nzonzi etc I have been struggling with what his plans are and as a result my opinions of him have changed a little and maybe a bit more toward the negative side these days. I dont see that as ignorance, just an opinion. At the moment we have 1 full time centre half at the club and he is injury prone. As result of that today we have to pitch Muniesa up against Vokes. I think if you were to ask Hughes his honest opinion then his 5ft 10(6 stone when wet) Spaniard would be an absolute last resort in that position - for me never a premiership centre half. We find ourselves in that position because Hughes has now sold 3 centre halves and not replaced a single 1 of them - I still find it totally baffling if I am honest and I dont think I am alone. That said we played a superb controlling game of footie last week of which Hughes must get massive praise for and of course Muni was a part of. However at home I think without Whelan/Cam partnership in front of the back four and our captain at the back we are going to struggle to be competitive and Muni may be a little more exposed also. The whole of the back 7 from keeper to the holding midfielders are positions that really need improving on and where the squad in general is threadbare. Do think Muni(like Cam) is somebody who could play in the holding position. What are your thoughts on Muni as a C/H and the current depth of the squad? Muni 2 games at CB and 2 clean sheets plus comtributing to goals and scoring. That's why he is the squad as one of 4 quality CBs.

Fair comment.Although I still don't get why he has moved on 3 centre-halfes and not replaced any of them. Some of his decisions are are bit strange, but what the hell do I know, we are flying at the moment and have won the last 2 games at a canter

Muni certainly taking his opportunity at the moment and proving me wrong. Cam has played in the centre of defence before and done an ok job. so if you are counting our on loan centre-half then that is 4 - I think that is the 4 you are thinking of. Our main man is injury prone though(these days). I personally am horrified when Cam/Muni are let loose in that position and dont see them as viable back-ups, certainly wouldn't call them quality, but Muni is proving me so wrong at the mo Cam presumably when fit will regain is centre-mid position also. For me we are desperately low on quality/numbers in that position - if Muni or Indi picked up an injury yesterday then not sure who would play there against Arsenal. Seemed not so long a go we had 5 or 6 reasonable options in that position, now when our captain is injured we are scraping the barrel a little bit. That of course is my opinion, but I am being proved wrong time and again by Mr Hughes - long may it continue
