All of our strikers are easily 10+ goals a season given enough starts and service. Good point! Meaning we have to start five strikers each game (impossible), to get enough goals during a season. That's the difference between a- and b-strikers. We don't need any other defenders or midfielders - let's get two top quality strikers instead.

the guy simply should start.
showing the squad that you are rewarded for good performances is a fantastic message to put across to this team right now given how many players are in really poor form.
adam as well.

We need to be moving well beyond him now. With his size and natural technique he's always going to be a handful in cup games against lower league clubs but his time as a Premier League starter are over in my opinion. Needs to be shipped off to The Championship and at least one more new striker brought in.

What's a guy got to do to get a game? Normally, a midweek hatrick would secure you a place in the Saturday team so I don't see why we should treat Crouch any differently. Yes, it is only Stevenage but I bet Diouf or Joselu would not have scored them

Or even playing Joselu.

All the players who've come in have seemingly put themselves in the picture for Saturday. Surely some in the starting 11 from the past two league games can't be as bulletproof in their positions as some are making out on here can they? Regardless of the opposition tonight.

I'm not going to argue with any of that... But I'll guarantee you that if Crouch & Adam appear on our starting line-up against Everton this place will go into meltdown... And then if we don't win I think we all know which players will come in for most of the stick.

With everton's slow but strong central defenders I think we should stick with diouf up top. But if we are looking to hoof it upfield and get the ball down to the three attackers crouchie is and will continue to be a decent option. As a regular starter though I'm not convinced.Absoluteley correct
Still an asset but should not be seen as the jewel in the crown anymore. I do wish some of the so called galacticos had half the heart that Peter Crouch has

Can someone wake me up, please, I appear to be confused. It seems we're top on 6 points after two absolutely scintillating displays and there's absolutey no route into this team for anyone?!

I don't see how morale can be anything but low if not.

Tonight proved Hughes needs to use the bench more often, we've got some talent just sitting there when things aren't working and changing it up can boost confidence. Hope we learnt that lesson at least.
