Not sure what planet I've been living on for the last couple of years but I've just 'discovered' Inglorious. Fuck me what a breath of fresh air into the modern music scene they are! I've checked back through the last few pages & anna see anyone mention them (Apologies if any had much earlier in the thread) Rather than post a video up I'll instead post a link to a playlist of ten of their songs on Youtube. (Trust me, you'll listen to all ten!) *Hopefully I've done that link right, incase not, this is the first song on the list...

Al Pitrelli on lead guitar which was an odd choice, but he pulls off some great licks in that little guitar-off they have in the middle.

Still listening to Trip at the Brain by Suicidal Tendencies as part of my regular rotation. Fucking great song. Can't believe we used to laugh at them at College. Absolute fucking sacrilege in reality.

Lovin' Judas Priest's new album! Saw them in the early 70s playing the Saturday disco at the paddock suite on uttoxeter race course in front of a couple of hundred pissed up locals . 🙂

An epic track by ST Not heard it before but agreed from listening just, that's a cracking song. The build up is epic then it hammers into that thrash verse, brilliant stuff.

For a Youtube video that is 5 years old (the gig itself from 1992) the 600k views this had has is nowt, so I'm guessing some folk might not have see it. For a bootleg the sound is mint!

Probably the most hated Megadeth song in history from their album Risk. Mustaine said he called it 'Risk' because he knew he was taking the biggest risk of his career. Fair to say it was a gamble that didn't pay off.
From the same album:
I quite like this song with the weird electric violin thing going on.... I wonder if this had been released by a new band in year 2000 rather than a multi-platinum band who had put some of the greatest thrash metal albums out in the 80's whether it would have been as unsuccessful as it was.

Awful album but admittedly I quite like Crush 'Em... Very radio oriented but better than most of their radio attempts. Which brings me to Super Coliider, which may well be worse than Risk.

TSO were spawned from the ashes of Savatage, I think. Savatage, what an underrated band.

Never really got into the groove metal thing, some of it okay but too many pantera clones. Plus many a good thrash band lost their way jumping on the groove bandwagon ie Overkill or Testament. I tried Soulfly years ago, found that it wasn't as good as say Beneath The Remains/Arise era Sepultura. I'm led to believe Sepultura similarly lost their way. I'm totally onboard with crossover, including hip hop influences but not when it pushes out good riffs and lead breaks.

Yes it was the Headless Children tour back in 1989. I was there myself, my ears were buzzing for days after and I'm surprised I didn't end up in a neck brace! Do you remember these who supported??
