Slightly disappointed we didn't sign him but at the same time, signing Bony and being able to watch them miss out on £20million is just great.

Wow, they just flushed £20 million down the shitter for a player that doesn't want to be there. I honestly expected a bean counter at west brom to do the maths somewhere and say lets off load the youth... Fucking crazy decision. It's not as if they're getting their return in goals in the meantime either... TPs got him shackled to the bench

It's just a fucking weird business decision all round really but if it IS true that Peace was still the one doing all the deals and agreeing the financials, then i want someone to let me know where and when he's next playing Poker

This is a lot like the Diouf saga. Can see us back in for him next year. Cannot see any upside for the player or WBA in this. He must be expecting a very nice signing on fee as he's lost millions in salary staying on his current contract until he can move (unless a new manager comes in and he signs an improved one at West Brom). I like his potential but Bony is better for us at this point in time.

For my money Peace has made an utter fool of himself. Was watching on BBC and some guy came on there who must be in the know about WBA and he was saying that Peace was still pulling the strings and the Chinese would not be in place till Oct.All of us thinking this twat had gone and it was going to be easier to sign Berahino where wrong .Also now makes sense now why one of the reason why there buying was not good and Pulis banging on about how many players they need.

There is no comparison between our two clubs. None at all. We are infinitely superior. We are better than them at present and have been for a couple of years, but in the grand scheme of things there isn't much between us at all. We've been battling it out with the for the last 10 years (mostly), similar size ground and fan base. The only thing we have that they don't is a good chairman who is passionate about the club and is willing to splash the cash occasionally. One bad season and the roles could easily be reversed. All my life I've never thought they are anywhere near us. There has always been a shit atmosphere at the hawthorns. They get plenty of empty seats no matter who they play. In all their time in this league they never really entertain except when they fail and get relegated and until pulis came un I saw them as a yo-yo club.

Don't worry Baggies, his mind will be clear now. It's not as if having a tyrannical cunt of a manager has had a negative effecct on his career for the last 18 months...

Bojan buzzing round Crouch when we beat Arsenal. Seem to recall Ireland {as a very advanced midfielder} and Crouch working well together against Swansea a couple of seasons back, think it may have been the 3-3. Stevie and Arnie on the pitch can get almost telepathic at times, read each other so well

So they've only got Saido, Robson-Kanu (who hasn't played since the Euros), Rondon and maybe a kiddie or two.
Pulis is obviously going to have to use Berahino a lot. Going to be very interesting to see what happens

If Tony stays it's got to be worth backing them for binary results for the rest of the season.

WBA have three options:
1. Persuade him to signa new deal with them.
2. Off-load him in January and alt least make something on him
3. Based on the piece on Arsenal TV, it looks like his agent has advised him to shut up, do what he's told at WBA - play or sit on the bench, it doesn't matter - then in January make a precontract agreement with a low profile club in Europe, hence no compensation to WBA. He goes there for a few games and in the January after he can be sold to a Premiership team. The European club makes a massive profit on him the buying club gets a bargain, Berahino gets the move he wanted and a good deal with it. Everyone gets what they want, except West Brom who got fucked over by their own greed and arrogance.
WBA are going to want option 1. I reckon there is going to be a massive sycophantic campaign of blowing sunshine up Berahino's arse, over at WBA. They are going to be desperate to get him to sign a new deal. Wait for it - I reckon it will start today with Pulis coming out and saying that keeping him was the best deal of the window.

Don't get me wrong I wouldn't swop with a Baggies fan right now but they are historically pretty much like us in most respects other than having had a bit more success.

I think we should show some support for Berahino when he visits in a few weeks . ( if he is included). The fall out is mainly with Peace? The tactics to hold on to him until the very end has backfired. Listening to Coates yesterday, we already had secured Bony for the season

He washed away any shred of credibility with his antics at the Brit last season, using every trick in the book to make sure he won. Bouncing around on the touchline with the decorum of a rancid fevered alley cat. I'm sure he'll be back with all his twatish antics in a few weeks with a line of Stoke fans throwing roses at him no doubt.

To be fair, i think this ship has now sailed. He will be a free transfer in june. We will be well down his and his agents' list of potential suitors by then.

Wash your mouth out. By that same token, I'm sure all our thanks goes to Pulis for getting us to the Premiership. Get off your high horse. He was a manager, not a fucking saint. He washed away any shred of credability with his antics at the Brit last season, using every trick in the book to make sure he won. Bouncing around on the touchline with the decorum of a rancid fevered alley cat. I'm sure he'll be back with all his twatish antics in a few weeks with a line of Stoke fans throwing roses at him no doubt. Yes, I have to agree with mrred ...and anyway there haven't been enough threads about Pulis on this board. Pulis, rightly, has a place in the history of Stoke. I thought he was well supported both by the fans and the owners in his time at Stoke; he had poems and songs written and published lauding him. For a while it was a mutually beneficial thing. It was a little strained in his last season, but he eventually went properly, at the end of a season and it was done with as much dignity as you could have mustered from the situation, certainly more than he offered some of the players that fell out of his favour. But Pulis does come across as petulant. His team selections at times were nothing to do with tactics, it was all to do with making a point. And in spite of Stoke and Hughes making many references to his excellent work at Stoke, he has been graceless in the extreme about Hughes, saying Hughes job was easy because he inherited all Pulis's players - even though instantly Hughes used those players to exceed anything Pulis ever did. Then the somewhat snidely tactics, targeting Charlie Adam with a hit squad, all the pitch-side antics. This isn't just a manager returning to a club, this is a spoilt twat sticking two fingers up to the club and the fans who, in no small measure, defined and made him. So, it's a dilemma. On the one hand he did so much for the club and I feel grateful. On the other, he is a shithead.
