So Smith has been touring the media telling this Berahino story all day? Almost like someone's employing him to tell this rather scary (from a WBA point of view) story. He is the founder of a top sports agency in a number of sports brother is a very well respected football agent definitely knows his onions

No axe to grind and very very happy with bony who is a much better fit in my humble but I've said before I was told by the best possible source . " will not sell to stoke unless it's on the last day at top top dollar . It's the last possible options because Stoke are seen as a direct rival . The same would apply to any other direct rival Albeit personalities mean there is a bit of added spice " They are no direct rival of ours. 40 points and survival is a totally different world to 60 points and top 7. They sign kanu, we sign bony. There is no comparison between our two clubs. None at all. We are infinitely superior. Interesting how your 100% presence on here over the last few days/weeks has somewhat diminished today

It's very strange the more I think about it.... Why is it being pushed now? This guy has a book to push too remember. There are surely no guarantees of this proposed deal happening as a 3rd party could come in during Jan. I don't like it. One bit.

I suspect that after this disaster of a window for Pulis, that over the next few days he'll resign quoting lack of support during the window. I cannot see any positive spin for the Baggies after today has played out and he'll be gone.

(Near) coherence.
And I agree with you (obvs) about WB.
But tbf, I remember you saying that too and even then, it had a certain ring of truth about it.
"added spice" ? added "total cuntery" down in Smethwick more like.

I must have missed the part where it was heavily implied it was Stoke.... It also wasn't confirmed it was Berahino. Agreed it sounded like it likely could be him.... Glad you posted this. Thought I must have missed the part where Stoke were mentioned as I never heard it. The agent on 5-Live said he knew of an agreement in place for an unnamed player below the age of 24, who he said would 'probably' now be remaining at his club this window, to leave for compensation of around £400,000 in January for a club in Europe, with the player then leaving that club a few months later to a club in England, with the agent pocketing around £4m. The panel suggested straightaway that the player was Berahino which the agent wouldn't confirm. He said both the buying clubs and the player were aware of the proposed arrangement, with his current club being out of the loop. I'm thinking the club in England would be paying a lot less than £15m else it wouldn't be worth the hassle. I thought he could only sign a pre-contract with a European club, moving at the end of the season. That would mean we couldn't sign him until Jan 2018 does it not?

This window however is the reality shock they need to confirm otherwise.
Heard somewhere that Peace still "had control of the purse strings" this window? Boy oh boy, is he demob happy.

It's what the agent said on 5-Live tonight and in the video above. I've no idea, but I'm assuming the guy knows what he's talking about, so the player could move again next summer.

Some Saturday mornings I had the same feeling as I did before going to the dentists.

It sounds ideal but a bit far fetched to me, and there is no guarantee that a premier league club will want Berahino next summer (even at half the price) if he has another stinker of a season.

Sod him now, I'm convinced Bony will bang the goals in for us and if he doesn't come permanently I'm sure we can find better than Berahino as he'll have another season of doing nothing.

There is no comparison between our two clubs. None at all. We are infinitely superior. We are better than them at present and have been for a couple of years, but in the grand scheme of things there isn't much between us at all. We've been battling it out with the for the last 10 years (mostly), similar size ground and fan base. The only thing we have that they don't is a good chairman who is passionate about the club and is willing to splash the cash occasionally. One bad season and the roles could easily be reversed.

Completely irrelevant to my point, which is that our ambitions are far loftier than theirs and by virtue of that fact, we are nothing like rivals. What they would be delighted with, we'd be desperately disappointed with.

An absolute bonkers situation. I can't actually believe we have chased him all year and he's still at West Brom. I presumed it was a foregone conclusion he would be arriving. Surely but surely they could have signed someone in the time they've had. They now have a player they don't particularly want, the fans hate and a player who doesn't want to be there. Oh and are 20m short. Madness.

Wow, they just flushed £20 million down the shitter for a player that doesn't want to be there.
I honestly expected a bean counter at west brom to do the maths somewhere and say lets off load the youth...
Fucking crazy decision.
