As I understand it WBA have signed:
Nacer Chadli Allan Nyom Matt Phillips Robson-Kanu
They have pissed on their own chips by messing around with us over SB. I am sure that they thought they would string us along and make us pay a massive premium and concurrently fund their purchase of Ighalo. And they got greedy, keeping us hanging on until the last minute, believing we would have to cave in and cough up through last minute desperation.
When I saw Coates on TV yesterday I wondered if it was a direct message to WBA saying 'that's it, we really are not interested in being fucked over'. They should have listened. The minute the Bony deal went through, I am guessing WBAs transfer team had a collective 'Oh bollocks' moment.
Now, apart from Chadli, They have some squad options, a guy who was released by Reading and a disgruntled Barahino with fuck all chance of ever making £20Million on him - in fact they have a real chance of making nothing at all.
I know Pulis is resilient and can put pretty robust teams together, but this is looking like a bad day over in West Brazil. I am not sure their ambitious new owners will be overwhelmed.

The agent is on bbc saying berahino has a club lined up abroad for January - who will then be selling him back to a club in england (us- heavily implied) for a bit less than the fee being mentioned now. So west brom have lost themselves 20 million in one fell swoop, have failed to back their manager, AND the player, agent and the foreign club will make the money instead - and stoke will probably acquire him for, I would guess 15 million next year? I must have missed the part where it was heavily implied it was Stoke.... It also wasn't confirmed it was Berahino. Agreed it sounded like it likely could be him.... Glad you posted this. Thought I must have missed the part where Stoke were mentioned as I never heard it. The agent on 5-Live said he knew of an agreement in place for an unnamed player below the age of 24, who he said would 'probably' now be remaining at his club this window, to leave for compensation of around £400,000 in January for a club in Europe, with the player then leaving that club a few months later to a club in England, with the agent pocketing around £4m. The panel suggested straightaway that the player was Berahino which the agent wouldn't confirm. He said both the buying clubs and the player were aware of the proposed arrangement, with his current club being out of the loop. I'm thinking the club in England would be paying a lot less than £15m else it wouldn't be worth the hassle.

You must have missed it mate. everyone said berahino and smith laughed and said he couldn't say. Plus the berahino transfer saga is the only analogous situation. I think it was as obvious as the nose on my face he was talking about berahino. He also said the selling club 'could have played it better' Yes, I suppose it won't just be stoke who would want to sign him for next season but I'd suggest there may be some sort of informal agreement. The key point is that West brom have absolutely pissed away twenty million and berahino isgoing to agree a deal with the foreign club to screw over wba Aye, agree it was likely Berahino given the profile and fees quoted, but nothing given away into who the destination clubs were other than Europe then back to UK. There are two losers here - the player and WBA.

Toxic must surely be considering his position.
Five Live saying that Peace still holding the purse strings.
Bony for a season banging them in, then get a rejuvenated Saido in for a reduced fee from a more sensible club. It's all gravy.

Said the agent will pocket 6 million for this manouvering he was on ssn earlier today saying the same thing

Surely got to occur to new signings that if they messed SB around like that then they risk getting themselves in a similar position also?

Yes he was missing the point and talking about wolves dodgy portugese signings. It was absolutely berahino and as lordb says, smith said the agent was looking after the foreign club and the buying club. Again it may not be certain he'll end up here but wba are going to get about 400k in a few months and have lost about 20 million. Unbelievable

Remember the (not so) secret footballer alluding to the sale of berahino would give pulis funds to spend using favoured agents.
Maybe that's the reason

The curious case of Saido Berahino
The money is great and age is on his side but I'd be furious deep down if I was him. Complete and utter waste of talent for the best part of 2 years and it'll be another year on top of that.
I saw the agent in SSN earlier and he couldn't have made it anymore obvious about who was involved. It's basically Stoke have now decided if West Brom want to play cunty bollocks over it, then they'll play dirty as well
The foreign club takes him as suggested and we buy off them next year for absolutely fuck all in comparison to our current bid. West Brom get left with nothing more than egg on their face
Weird club, weird people, fucking moronic owners.

No axe to grind and very very happy with bony who is a much better fit in my humble but I've said before I was told by the best possible source .
" will not sell to stoke unless it's on the last day at top top dollar . It's the last possible options because Stoke are seen as a direct rival . The same would apply to any other direct rival Albeit personalities mean there is a bit of added spice "
