MoM for me too yesterday, tracks back well to help out in defence, brings the ball out well to help us break quickly. Marvellous yesterday.
Also pleased to see Johnson getting plenty of credit. For me hes made as big a difference to our team this year as anyone. Hugely influencial.

swissramble.blogspot.nl/2015/12/stoke-city-let-them-all-talk.htmlexplained in thorough detail in the swiss ramble blog, which Im sure you read as well MOMO. We will have an extra 20m a year to spend for the 2016/2017 season. Realistically we can keep the exact same squad next season and make one big signing of 15-20m plus salaries and still keep out of the red. IF we dont make a big signing in the summer then questions can be asked of the owners for pocketing the profits Surely when someone is pissed enough to take Sidwell (and possibly others) off our hands that gives us scope to play? Presumably there is scope or quotes from Hughes and Coates are a deliberate attempt to mislead fans? Yes likely the dynamic will change next year as all the clubs outside of the big 4 or 5 will have extra TV money but be limited on how much extra they can spend on wages, so would expect to see the extra money go on transfer fees. assuming we get rid of players then we will have the wage flexibility to bring in a few big names. A big sale could obviously help

Affelay and Johnson have been my favourite players this season. I've never seen a Stoke player look so comfortable on the ball in tight situations as I have with Affelay. He reminds me of Kaka in his pomp, the way he seems to glide effortlessly over the turf and runs away from opponents. Doesn't possess express pace, but importantly, appears to be as quick when carrying the ball as he is without it.

That comparison isn't as bizzare as it sounds actually, imagine if he had the pace of his younger days too! Edit beaten to it

With every game that is played, I rate Affelay as our best signing of this season. He is more influential than Nzonzi, especially when he plays in the attacking midfield in the hole behind the False 9. He is adept when reinforcing the defensive midfield with Whelan, like he has been doing in Cameron's absence, but here is less able to influence the forward momentum of our play (obviously).

Creates space for himself when he receives the ball , much the same as zonz did . Always the sign of a good player IMO

And how many games did he miss at the start of the season yet he's still 3rd.

Fabregas and Mikel spend half the match passing to each other to get their rate up.
