The only danger with Afellay was going to be his age and could he adjust quick enough. Which he has. His ability as a footballer should have never been in doubt. But you are dealing with the likes who wanted Arnie and Mame fucked off after a couple of months as they offered nothing, and Bojan was a luxury we couldnt afford! H

A great player if he can keep free of injuries. My only concern is that he's only on a 2 year contract. Hopefully we put in an option for a 3rd year for him.

Did he say Shaq didn't mean it as well? No. He said he didn't know but if it were him then he would say he meant it...or words to that effect.

Agreed - he should be offered at least a third year BEFORE the end of this season. I was worried about his fitness but he seems to have had no significant problems in that respect this season. My worry would be that we could be offered a fee for him by a CL club in the summer who would see him as a decent squad option for a couple of years.

Just at the start mate, plus a brief volley of applause at the end, perhaps throwing in a small handclap session in the middle. To clap all the way through would make this song a bit silly Song threads are great and we need more of them, I'm good at them and could make up a song about a stoke player every day for at least a week

I agree your songs are mint, really don't understand how none of them ever take off. As for Afellay I'm currently composing a mini operetta combining elements of the Birds Eye potato waffle song and other shit. I'd challenge you to concoct a Teixeira song but it'd knacker the thread.

The wife seemed impressed anyway, she was tapping her feet along. You do seem very gifted at this, it's not something I have the ear for unfortunately

Can't wait to see him on Wednesday after having the weekend off. Would like to see him and Cameron holding midfield and Joselu taking Whelan's place in the team.

The song is from Thomas Crown Affair with Steve McQueen. I'm flexible with the tune, in fact the sign of a good lyricist like me is that my words can fit any melody. To this end I've emailed bernie 'candle in my wind' tarpaulin but he's yet to get back to me

The lad is seemingly undroppable at the moment.... Which is worrying because squad rotation is important.
Very good again.
