Wilson isn't my favourite player and I don't think he is good enough for us, I shit myself every time the ball goes near him but fair play for this!
Chin up and prove me wrong son!

Good on him for having the balls to stick his head above the parapet but the whole team is to blame, not just him.
Move on though now. Can't change the past, can only change the future. We're not suddenly a shit team because of one game. In case anyone's forgotten we won the previous four.

He shouldn't reply to people like that. He's made his apology and it's best to leave the idiots alone.

If someone wants to ask a question why not ask something along the lines of: why did you dally on the ball when you had an out ball to Crouch yet weren't shy of hitting it to Joselu?

Bad day at the office Yes. We all have them as we are all human beings. But some of the abuse given out from our fans is completely out of order. Wilson has contributed a lot to our club over the last few years. So called supporters hang your heads in shame.

Any chance his apology can come in the form of him helping me to take out my old kitchen today, taking it down to the Council Dump, oh and then popping over to Sainburys to do our shopping, all jobs I could/should have carried out yesterday.
If not, apology not accepted.

Nor should he take all the blame. As it turned out the 2nd goal yesterday wasn't decisive since we created absolutely zilch at the other end. The 'lack of game time' point he makes is a good one. It's something I have never really understood with football. With individual sports like tennis and squash it would just be unthinkable to turn up after not really playing at a proper level at all for 3 or 4 months and have any expectation that you could perform. You'd just get steam rollered since while you could do all the practice hitting in the world but you just wouldn't be match sharp or match fit or match tough, none of those things

It is right and proper to apologise and it takes guts, so I applaud him for that. However, it is meaningless when nothing is learned from it and the mistakes keep happening. Wilson on the pitch is a guaranteed goal for the opposition. I wish it was otherwise but he is a liability.

Fair play to the lad, to come out and say that shows he bloody cares. Not my favourite player but hats off to the lad.
On another note, some of them replies on Twitter from so called fans are embarrassing. They want a hard slap.

As someone pointed out his howler of a mistake was the final straw that broke the camels back.
The writing was on the wall as soon as he came on, he had a very easy ball to turn back, control, whatever he wanted to do really but he thumped it out right in front of Hughes, inexcusable really from a so called proffesionable footballer. From that point onwards he was terrible and he richly deserved that reaction from that terrible incident.
In saying that I've watched the highlights this morning and how on earth Wolschield managed to fall over when attempting to close down Deeney was shocking but for me the incident when Johnson ran into Shaqiri (?) summed yesterday up for me, to many players occupying little if any space and neglecting to occupy the more important space mainly the opposition penalty area.

Those tweets speak volumes about Wilson and the knobs throwing cheap insults.
He'll come back stronger.....they'll continue hiding behind keyboards and wasting their lives away dreaming of achieving something while Marc Wilson represents his country, plays Premier League football and continues to show the professionalism and dedication that got him here in the first place.

Fair play to Wilson for the apology. I'll hold my hand up and say that I called him a few choice names from my seat in the ground, but in the heat of a moment, like out on the pitch, you can get carried away and/or lose it a bit. It takes a huge set of spuds to make an open apology, he knew he'd take some flak though, now just move on. A few bad games and dropped points wont completely wreck our season and there's still plenty of points left to take and games to make amends. Marc Wilson wasn't, after all, alone in having an utter shitter yesterday.

Fair play to him for apologising. He shouldn't have had to though, we win as a team and we lose as a team, the guy has made 173 appearances in a number of positions in a team that has more than held its own in the Premier League so deserves a bit more respect and a bit more slack. Booing a player that has always given 100% is piss poor and some Stoke fans need to give their head a wobble this morning.......

Well done Marc. He didn't go onto the field yesterday thinking "oh well, can't be arsed today I may a well play shit" did he? He didn't have a good day and has apologised for it. It's now up to him and the coaching team to get him to a place where he is ready for when we next need him. He's been an excellent pro for us over the last few years and one shit performance doesn't change that.

Your mistaking debate for support
I travelled 3000 miles to yesterday's game , never have and never will boo a stoke player or shout criticism at the game and will support the honest ones like Marc Wilson through thick and thin in the face of pathetic criticism
Thats support holding a Belief that the summer showed a chronic lack of investment despite the jaw jaw and a material weakening of our first team is simply an opinion for which I've taken some abuse fair enough don't say it if your not prepared to debate it legitimately .

Fair play to him that takes a lot of bottle. Maybe would have been better to do it in the paper or website where you can't get idiots abusing him and turning it into an argument.
Wilson was poor yesterday but he wasn't the only one, he's been a good servant to the team but isn't quite good enough if we want to progress,
