It's both, why can't you see that? He was shit. That doesn't mean a lack of fitness and match sharpness didn't contribute to that. Again, if Ryan comes back and isn't 100% his imperious self there'll be no sympathy from you there either, yes? I give up mate you clearly won't or don't except that he was making excuses but just for you if Ryan tweeted he was rubbish because of lack of time or injuries I would have the same opinion of the tweet. That is my point not, whether or not he should play again. My thoughts are on his tweet nothing else and it's making excuses. He didn't have to tweet anything. That's the point. But yeah, you clearly just want to be ANGRY! rather than analyse so by all means get on with it.

Yeah or course it is I have been many times where booing has taken place and every ground at some point it happens you pay your money and your free to boo if you like. Utter bollocks, not the most eloquent of replies but yeh, utter bollocks, booing and goading your own player during play should never happen, they need helping through it if they're having a shitter, not getting shit off their own fans. Get real it happens I keep forgetting some of the amazing supporters we have on here, never swear, never blame the ref, never seen fans boo, never booed themselves. Behave yourself

Absolutely , but Ryan would get more sympathy (as well you know it ) simply by virtue it can be dismissed as a one-of , Wilson hasnt got that in the bank ! That doesn't make it apples and oranges. The treatment by fans would be different but why is it out of the question that it could've been a factor in Wilson's performance but won't be questioned for Ryan? The circumstances are similar. Yesterday wasn't a typical Wilson performance. Come on rob , we both know that Wilson is more likely to do something like that than Ryan , Hence the different reaction

I agree you've paid your money and are free to boo, but please, if you need to then do it at the final whistle when the games over. Any other time can only have a detrimental affect on the player and the team as a whole and as ' supporters' we are there to do just that while the games in progress. Wilson made mistakes yesterday, and not for the first time, but to be honest it was a very poor performance all round. He will take the flak for the result, taking the heat from one or two others out there that put in poor performances.

Who's angry ? You seem to be. How do you know can you see me ? if you could you would see the big smile on my ugly mug reading some of the twaddle on here, and how superior some supporters are with their pure thoughts and forgiving nature makes we feel warm and fuzzy.

Mate, if you just want to be angry about the performance without any kind of consideration beyond that then fill your boots and don't let me stop you. Boo, Marc Wilson, boo to you sir for your apology that didn't go far enough, flagellate yourself in public and climb into a giant, wicker man.

You sit there is silence or get involved and show some passion ?

That is essentially what you're saying though isn't it? That his apology, which he didn't have to make in the first place, wasn't good enough because he had the temerity to point out perfectly valid factors in his poor performance which you have dismissed out of hand as excuses.

I bet you fucking loved yesterday didn't you? You slate the fans yesterday and yet you spout shit like that and revel in anything negative we do? You are the worst of unwanted "fans" I agree! Just do one Biscuit you total troll. No way on God's earth are you a Stoke fan, you must be a Valey through and through, time for me to block your negative drivel.

No I'm just saying was it an apology or not I think it's not, regardless of whether or not he should have made on in the first place he's making excuses. My point is if you are going into the public eye with a tweet then apologise don't say "yes I was shit but it's not my fault" of course it is Marc you made the decision you made the mistake, no pressure on you, plenty of time, you tried to be clever lost the ball and it ended the game, that was nothing to do with anything but his poor play. I have made comments about him on here but nothing over the top but I don't like it when I read his excuse. Say sorry or say nothing but don't make excuses it dunna wash with me, I would much rather he said nothing. This is not blaming him and him alone for the loss there were many poor performance but his play for the second goal was a joke from a pro so except it an move on.

He never said it wasn't his fault. He said quite the opposite. Injuries and match time why did he say that then ? you know why he was making excuses to try and somehow justify his poor play, you know it and so do I.

I think he was asking for that to be taken into consideration and I think that's fair enough as it was a factor. He wasn't saying he didn't play badly. He was holding his hands up and saying he did.
I don't think it's fair to accuse him of making excuses when the excuses are valid.
Tim Sherwood is a man who makes excuses.

Interesting to note the difference in approach to players who make mistakes/play badly on this forum, isn't it?

"Lack of game time hasn't helped"
Defending = "if in doubt kick it out " basic principle of playing in defence. Sorry Marc but that's nonsense you should know better.

I'd have much preferred it if he just said "Sorry - I played poorly today. I wasn't satisfied with my performance. I understand some supporters will feel the same. No excuses"
Instead he has come out with the sort of non-apology politicians like to make.
So either apologise without conditions, or don't say anything.
