Agree with that mate and why there's no eateries around the Brit I'll never know. It's because you really need to buy a car on your way to the match, Our seven year old the other week why the Brit is surrounded by car shops...

Also no searches on entry which was unexpected and very interesting I'm all for safety, Malcolm but it's getting a bit daft at Stoke now. Getting searched when you're with your kids and now having to queue separately if you're with the missus as there are separate queues due to the aforementioned searches. What next, Gents and Ladies over the turnstiles? I'm curious as to the decision making process in the stewarding before entering the Brit. It appears every adult is now being searched on entry which if they feel is for our safety is fair enough but why isn't it the same at every ground? I think we at the FSF should do some work on this with the authorities. It seems odd that risk assessments by safety officers can be so different at different grounds.

The only downer was the burgers in the ground, £4 each and it was a crap bread bun and a bit of meat, fook all else. If you chucked the bread away, no doubt somebody will start a fund raiser to help you overcome any pain and suffering from having a shit burger.

I imagine much of it will be to do with interpretation. The club will have hired security and asked for checks to be done but I wonder if they are aware that everyone is getting frisked now?

and could fill in the FSF away fans survey, it would be appreciated www.surveymonkey.com/r/away-fans-2015-16Far be it for me to influence people , but I thought the whole approach by DRFC to our visit was first class. No price hike, excellent advance information to help away fans; allowing away fans into the Belle Vue bar at the ground; no searches on entry; a genuine feeling of being welcomed by both stewards and home fans alike. I would love to see them win the FSF away day award from the survey scores. I shouldn't really say that in public of course

I really enjoyed the away day, I like the OP drove and I took my other half. Really nice drive through the Peak District especially the journey to Donny, we went for something to eat at a Marstons boozer in Baslow on the return journey.
Away games are a rarity nowadays due to work commitments but today I really enjoyed it. A decent sized vocal Stoke following, a somewhat fortunate away win but an away win is always good to be part of, and a good host in Doncaster.
Also really liked the choice of music whilst we all exited the Keepmoat. "Don't worry about a thing, 'Cause every little thing gonna be all right."

Dunno about you mate but I often feel like nipping in to buy a Lexus IS300h hybrid before kick off. Sometimes go and throw some bread around and dance on the bonnets too.

Agree with that mate and why there's no eateries around the Brit I'll never know. Yes it's hugely disappointing. In the end I guess the problem is that since the ground is in the middle of nowhere if you were to try to open an eatery somewhere in its vicinity you simply couldn't make it pay on the basis of 20 odd match days a year and not a lot of trade outside of that

Great day out, went on train, saw no problems anywhere. Used the little plough pub great little pub, reminded me a bit of the coach makers up Hanley with outside toilets as well.
Took about 20 mins to walk from town to the ground Lots of good songs old and new. Great facilities in the ground.
Overall a great day out hope we get them again next year in the cup.

One of the best days we've had. Cask Corner before and after. Great choice of ales, some cracking tunes on the old jukebox. But for the last train being out at 8pm we'd be still in there.
I've seen the state of my shoes this morning though after hiking across some open boggy ground. Caked!

Excellent day out.
My only disappointment was the arrogance of some our supporters !
The jeering of the announcement of the attendance was poor and the singing of the awful " you're fucking shit " song was pathetic....quite clearly they were not !
Nice ground and very friendly lot.... Good luck to them for the rest of the season
We need to remember where we came from !!

A thoroughly enjoyable day out. Great town centre, good pubs, all started off with a fabulous full English in a great cafe.
The Keepmoat Stadium was a lot nicer than I was expecting and it was great see so many Stokies there, watching a cracking cup tie. Good atmosphere too from both sets of fans!
A little bit of a lucky win in the end but a thoroughly enjoyable day out - loved it.
The final touch was the playing of "It must love" followed by "Don't worry about a thing" at the final whistle... nice to have a singalong on the way out!

It's a shame the area around the Brit isn't just as the Keepmoat is because that's what you need in and around a sports ground not 27 new car showrooms!
We went in the Beefeater pub at 11am and just a handful of Stokies in there but within 30 minutes the place was packed, there's was no trouble and a good craic.

Never been to Doncaster before and only passed through it on train
My only other experience was a girl at work going there about 4 times a year ( still does ) with her mates and me taking the piss out of her ....she stood her ground saying the nightlife is superb and pubs aplenty
How right she is .....great place for beer

Traveled by train, centre looked nice, around the ground looked nice but getting from 1 to other dodging in and out dual carriageway, sometimes walking on it as path had come to an end was not enjoyable. And yes I left few mins early hoping to find a taxi or bus to get me back to centre but none about. I wasn't the only one.

Concur:- Great town, great little club. Got to Donny on the X20 bus from Barnsley. Great travel interchange (railway station and Bus Station co-located) - bus station put Hanley's to shame. Plenty of buses to ground area (as stated on Donny Rovers info for away fans). Decided to walk to ground. Excellent choice of pies at Donny Market, and good ale houses in that area. Car parking stewards outside ground stated best place to get a bus back to town was close to McDonalds and proved to be right. No one mentioned the memorial garden - a nice touch. Small walled area with smart gate, families had left plaques to loved ones who had been Donny supporters, and quite a few floral tributes. Stewarding good. An excellent day out, and a bonus not to slip up and lose as we have done on numerous occasions to lower clubs.
