Good point but If you click the link there's a full description of what's available including prices. I did check that but it was just generic - Villa sell to others but not Stoke. WHU this year sold to Stoke but not to others so I was just asking if we would be able to get inside the ground as the post only mentioned ale outside the ground in the club.
I prefer to spend the last 45 mins in the ground because my son likes to soak up the atmosphere - as long as I can get a drink!

winston we usually sell beer in the ground although I think we make exceptions for the Binkickers (Leeds). I doubt you would be considered a problem.....let me have a word with someone and get back to you ok . They might think you will get pissed off when you get beaten though Can your supporters take 3 in a row ? lol

Cheers for that - this has all the makings of a really enjoyable Cup away tie. Given that the Palfreys has turned out to be much further away from the ground than I first thought, the club bar sounds a much better option, and definately the club beer! Quick note on that 'leeds' , you will need to get into the bar as early as possible as it does quickly fill up. By the way there are no problems with colours etc. we even allow the 'Wall in however we do make an exception with the Binkickers of your home town . Adopted home town, if you don't mind! . Are there still many 'Donny Whites' about? Ta for info - will try to get to bar early.

Best pubs if you arrive in Doncaster by train...Tut and Shive which is pretty much opposite the station. Good place to start. Paris gate is a real shit hole, only real scum go in there. If Doncaster is good for one thing, it's pubs! There is looooooads of pubs all very close by.
There's 3 wetherspoons; old Angel, gatehouse and red lion. They're all within a 2 minute walk. Red Lion has recently been refurbished and is probably my favourite pub in town. Silver street and hallgate are probably the roads u wanna aim for, every other shop is a pub! Enjoy!

Not very often these days, it's mainly the Donny youth as most of the older ones are either banned or just rarely bother. Usually find the young uns looking menacing when the likes of Rochdale come to town so I doubt the gather for you lot or they will stay well out of the way!!

Nah see little of Donny Whites , they are very much like Manure supporters in that they are all mouth and rarely actually see a game. It was at one time a thing said in an attempt to impress others that they were seemingly hard. There are the odd knobs of course that have a flag in their garden or a crest on their cars or doors. You must get the same there , I have noticed that the armchairs are wearing Man City or Arsenal colours these days . Same old same old.

Rochdale have a rep. didn't you know DN4 ? Like any town don't take the piss the Pikies will be about, the Paddies for the racing etc . Try and stay over if you can Friday night better still advise those that like the nags to take advantage of that £10 racing ticket on Friday.

Wonderfully refreshing and thank yiou for taking the time to post Any advice on parking much appreciated Plenty of parking around ground but getting out can be lengthy. A good bet would be park at the Dome leisure centre & walk the (picturesque) route around the lake, 10-15 minute walk to ground. Advantage of the Dome (apart from a bar that does good food) is when you head home turn right at the roundabout then left at the lights & your on the A638 which if you stay on you will hit the A1, don't follow m18 signs as you will be back in the match day traffic Thanks for the info mate much appreciated.Just a quick question about the route you say after from the dome and the A1,whereabouts do you end up coming out at if you take that way out?

You need to follow signs for Rotherham (A630) to the A1 junction 36, it is 1 junction north of the M18 turn off for Sheffield, the ground is closer to the M18 but going this way avoids the match day traffic. Difficult to explain but from The Dome Car Park Right at roundabout (directly outside car park) Up to traffic lights (300 yards) turn left Stay in left hand lane & turn left at roundabout (1/2 mile) Go to next roundabout (1 mile) go straight on (don't turn left it takes you to the stadium) 1/2 mile or so at a junction go left onto A630 ( you can only go left) Stay on A630 for about 2 miles until the A1 roundabout A1 south for a mile then take M18 towards Sheffield. Might sound complicated but it is quite straightforward.

Thanks mate. Think I'll be having a few pints of that Rovers 1879 And a pie. My 8 year olds first away trip. I can't wait. He ain't having no 1879 though My lads first away trip was Oldham on the riots weekend hopefully this one is a lot calmer. Have you sussed a boozer out yet or is it into town and hope for the best? I linked one on the match thread, real ale pub, near the station, but maybe not for you fizzy lager lads ...

Is there a local tramway from the ground to the city centre ? No, according to google maps it's only 1.9 miles from the station to the ground, about 25 mins walk or £5 in a taxi.
