You will need to walk down the lane to the main road, probably best to walk towards hare & tortoise pub as you will have more choice of bus. All the buses from there head to town & go close to the stadium (get off at dome/asda for stadium). Don't think there are any buses that go near Palfreys from there even though your only a mile or two away from it.

Cheers mate, not 100% sure if park & ride is open? If not just walk to next bus stop towards Doncaster as you will pick up extra buses coming from Rossington.

Judging by the riot vans & number of people around I'd say some of your coaches have arrived at the Palfreys!

Cheers for that mate. I'm taking my two boys with me so it's not a day on the lash. Is the Dome the best place to take them you think? I'd say so mate, the bar at the ground will be heaving as will the beefeater & Cheswold which are slightly nearer the ground. The Dome bar isn't too busy & a nice walk to the ground, they have sky as well if there is a game on. Also a small play area of your lads are young & arcade games within the leisure centre if they are a bit older. Also free parking, decent beer & food & avoid the majority of the traffic. Thanks for the advice mate. Took the lads to the Dome and it was sound. Good parking, decent enough food and easy to walk to the game and then get away afterwards. Cracking away day for the family and I wish Doncaster well in the future, the Rovers fans we spoke to were very welcoming.

Went by car today with my two lads
Plus points:
Excellent pricing by a third tier club resulting in 4,000 plus Stokies having a good day out.
Keepmoat in a much nicer location (inc proper lake) than Brit with no problems in travel by car. Pubs / eateries nearby.
Nice ground with all corners filled in made for good atmosphere
Decent width concourse(s)
Toilets with two access points
Decent PA system with good records
Friendly locals and stewards
Result of match and nice to see Crouch scoring.
Negative points:
None really though team was not at its best and it rained all the way home.

Agree with that mate and why there's no eateries around the Brit I'll never know.

Agree with all that, expect the PA system. 'Twas worse than ours ever was!!
Good locals, excellent prices and enjoyed the sustained and varied support, particularly from 50" to the end.
Enjoyable day out.

Very similar experience.
Took our two eldest boys and it was a really good experience for them.
No problems and a good day out all round.

Heard a pub was trashed in the city centre...hope not...the people at the stadium were first class and a credit to their club

Some great pubs in the town centre, good beer and friendly locals in them and to and from the ground, hope our knobheads behaved themselves and it's all talk.
Couple of lads I was next to at the ground are staying the night there for a night out.

Positives: Really nice compact stadium with the corners filled in.
Really impressive playing surface (especially if they also play rugby on it)
SJW looked dangerous throughout.
Jacob Hauguard had a very impressive debut.
We gave most of our first team a rest.
We won.
Negatives: Phil Bardsley and a couple of others need fucking off this window.
Mame Biram Diouf's ball control.
Sponsored substitutions sound absolutely wank, also sounded wank when the Donny team was read out on the p.a.
If you want your club to sound like you are in league one, then make sure you play Tom fucking Hark after you score.
Good day out though.

There is an opportunity to praise DRFC on the FSF away fans survey, which I hope you will all take the time to fill in. I thought DRFC were excellent in almost every respect

It's because you really need to buy a car on your way to the match, Exactly mate garages everywhere but not a place to get anything to eat.I really don't get it at all especially when you see such places like today and on Pride Pk also which put our facilities to shame

Also no searches on entry which was unexpected and very interesting I'm all for safety, Malcolm but it's getting a bit daft at Stoke now. Getting searched when you're with your kids and now having to queue separately if you're with the missus as there are separate queues due to the aforementioned searches. What next, Gents and Ladies over the turnstiles? I'm curious as to the decision making process in the stewarding before entering the Brit. It appears every adult is now being searched on entry which if they feel is for our safety is fair enough but why isn't it the same at every ground?
