Whoever we get, we will win.
Don't worry yourselves! North west club and the away game could be very special

Might Manchester City put out a reserve team? I guess everyone else will want us. The bookies certainly think so. We're the rags regardless of two teams yet to qualify. Manchester City 4/5 Everton 4/1 Liverpool 6/1 Southampton 7/1 Stoke 9/1 That's great value for us to be honest - probably the best of the lot. There's no value there for Manchester City given they still have two teams yet to beat and are odds on.

No team will fear playing us in the semi final and we should feel the same. We have beaten all the sides left in the competition in recent times and only failed to beat Liverpool away since returning to the top flight. I would actually suggest a home tie in the first leg maybe more beneficial giving our struggle to break teams down that have set up to nullify our attack and play on the break at the Brit. A lead from the home game could suit us to try and soak up the pressure and play on the counter attack away from home which seems to be more successful in the way we set up under Hughes.

I think it works better the other way around. We play better on the counter when teams are set up to attack, so an away game first would give us that situation. If we could snatch an away win (like we have on a few occasions this year), then the opposition would have no choice but to go for it at the Brit, allowing us to play our counterattacking style again.

Depends if we want to win it or just get to the final. Over 2 legs I'd fancy us against Citeh or Dippers, giving us an easier opponent in the final, as previously stated although European games don't start till later the big 2 ( should dippers beat Saints of course ) may still employ squad rotation whereas Everton would surely field 100 best squad available. Then come the end of Feb, lets say we despatch Citeh, and Dippers win all Mersey semi, then absolutely anything is possible... So for me ideal is Stoke v Citeh. Dippers (or saints) v Eveton.
And lets hope we play away leg 1st...
However, all that changes should saints beat dippers, then I'd really want to avoid Citeh and hope one of the other 2 knocks em out... I know I'm sort of contradicting my own argument there but I know what I mean...

After tomorrow night there'll really only be 3 sides that give a shit. Liverpool - desperate for a trophy in Klopp's first year / Southampton - won about as much as us Everton - been on hard times of late by their standards Man City - more likely to see this as an annoyance in comparison to their champions league & league campaign Stoke City - desperate to get their hands on silverware. Question will be, who will want it more? I don't think any of these clubs have as many players looking to find their way back to the limelight & I think that will do it for us. The players we have can demolish teams on their day, Time to enjoy the ride

History will repeat itself. We'll surely draw Man City (away first leg) and then obviously have to meet them in the league on Saturday. Oh and as a traditionalist I'd like Everton, although that'd make for the best final really.

Lets just hope we get an easy fa cup draw as the 1st leg is inbetween new year and the 3rd round, who thought that one up?
Southampton would hopefully be our best route to the final

we havnt got a cat in hells chance of beating liverpool in a final at wembley, the powers that be will see to that, our sending off, and there penalty will be booked well in advance of the kick off, for me it has to be southampton in the semis, then everton in the final, that way we have a chance cos its a real team and not one of the f.a's chosen few

Mark Hughes would back us against anyone over 2 legs. That is good enough for me.

If it's Citeh, it could add another dimension to our game on Satdee. There seems to be a lot of people assuming the Dippers will beat Southampton - I think this will be a bloody close game tonight and is no way a foregone conclusion. I'd take ABMC in the semi-finals with the 2nd leg at home. And then ABMC in the final

If I could pick I'd probably take Everton based on the fact we've had a pretty decent away record there over the years. Safe to say we're the underdogs anyway.

Whoever we get it could go either way. I'm not overly confident of beating any of the remaining teams and they will all be feeling the same.
Not sure why, but I'd like us to draw Liverpool if they get through tonight.
I'd love the opportunity to dump them out of the competition.

I'd take Citeh, how much effort would they be willing to invest in 180 minutes against a team their fans would probably think is a foregone conclusion they'll beat, when they have the league and Champs league to think about? I think we could catch them cold, that we have a much better chance of beating them in the semis than the final, and I don't have any faith in them losing to anyone else. Ideally home 2nd leg, I bet the Brit would be able to muster up a bit of noise for that one.

We'd also get that whole Anfield Road end with it being the cup making for a potentially belting away day.

If we are drawn as either the 2nd or 4th ball out of the hat, does that mean we play the 2nd game at The Brit.?

I don't give a shit who we get, either in the semi or in the final, we're Stoke and as we have proved recently, we can beat anyone.
Let them worry about us.
Goooooooooaaaaaarrrrrrnnnn Stoke!

There's no easy games at this stage of the competition is there?
I would like to avoid Man City though as I can't see us beating them over two legs (but I can see is winning a one off cup final game!).
