When is it? Who do you want? Everton. 2nd leg at home. ALTHOUGH in 72 and 92 we reached finals and the 2nd leg was away.

Everyone should be just saying this. We avoid Man city and we've got a huge chance.

I'm hoping for:
Everton vs Stoke Liverpool/Southampton vs Man City
I wouldn't fancy our chances against Liverpool or Man City over two legs, but then again, Everton are in superb form at the moment as well so it's going to be a tough one whoever we play out of that lot.

Wouldn't want fucking Citeh in the final again though Also, someone on the match thread just made the point that they might just still be distracted enough by other competitions at the semi-final stage... there is an argument for drawing them now.

avoid man city. the others over 2 legs i think we're in with a very good chance. (it would be preferable if they don't make the final either)

I dunna care who we draw in the semi-final game. Well overdue some silver ware. I've had a good feeling about this cup since we almost made an ash of the Luton game way back in the first round.
Our name is DEFINITELY on the cup this time around.
You've heard it here first.

Everton vs Liverpool, city vs city is my guess... We the lowest placed league team left, from the other teams pov will they be hoping to draw us in the semi's?

Might Manchester City put out a reserve team? I guess everyone else will want us. The bookies certainly think so. We're the rags regardless of two teams yet to qualify. Manchester City 4/5 Everton 4/1 Liverpool 6/1 Southampton 7/1 Stoke 9/1

I wasn't really thinking about the dates, or even just Europe, I guess I just meant they're more likely to take the semi slightly less seriously - resting the odd player, eyes on other important games - than if we met them in the final. Either way, if we made it through to the final I reeeally wouldn't want it to be against Man fuckin City.

It's not who but when.
Citeh/Liverpool/Everton/Southampton ... on the day(s) they'll all be much of a muchness.
It's not about who'll we play but when we play them that'll be the biggest factor.
Playing the second leg at home will be a bigger factor than who we actually draw imho.
I know we've got a better record away from home this season but I genuinely believe that, so long as we don't get absolutely tonked in the first leg, then we'll have a far better chance turning over each of the possible candidates at the Brit in the second leg, than if the draw was the other way around.
