When this thread started as well as giving my response to the OP I suggested there were quite a few comments that needed bringing to the attention of the club as they identified deficiencies/fans dissatisfactions that they should be aware of (if they already weren't).
As the thread has progressed I am less sure of this as the thread has developed into a general whinge session complaining of the singing and how good things used to be in "the good old days". Whilst I am well into retirement I dissociate myself from these sort of complaints. If you don't like things then change them. If you can't change things, accept them. If you can't accept things, then do what the opening poster has done and resign. I accept everyone is entitled to their opinion but to constantly carp is depressing for others, and life's too short to keep moaning. Find something you enjoy better. The world isn't perfect, but the club I have supported since a teenager is going through one of the best periods in it's history and I am enjoying it, despite the imperfections.

OP is entitled to do whatever he/she wants with their own money, that's the greatness of living in a free country. This is the first time I've been able to purchase a season ticket since 92, not by choice, but by military career and living overseas. now I've retired and got myself a little nice steady number I have bought 2, mine and my daughter. Even taken her to her first away game at Southampton, with west brom to come.
I really look forward to the trip up every home match (300 mile round trip), even with a loss on the way back. Adds for discussion in the car, and as a stokie we always manage to come out with a silver lining!!
Yes atmosphere is different for some games, will always be due to teams we play, I thought Chelsea was great, Watford not so. Swings and roundabouts etc.
As long as I am able to travel, I'll be keeping our season tickets. Now makes up for all that dross we had before and at least some of the grounds we go to are slightly better than the old Rotherham scrap yards!!

As the vast majority of us are, but that doesn't mean we can't discuss, agree/disagree with comments posted on a message board. That's not CONSTANTLY CARPING, unlike the above post which is clearly a whinge about anything and anyone that happens to irritate you. These are fantastic times at Stoke City and the vast majority are loving every minute. It's hardly CONSTANT CARPING to answer individual posts and pass an opinion.

If that's the way the OP feels, fine, its up to him. I just don't feel the same. I started watching Stoke in 1964 in my early teens and the enthusiasm has never left me. I'm worse now than ever I was, elated when we win or get an away point, pissed off all day Sunday when we've lost. I might be an old fart but I sing, shout, eff, blind, and grab the nearest person for a mental when we score. Each to his/her own. I'm absolutely luvvin it. Ek im the same mate.sadly we are very much in the minority, the stokies that jumped aboard after we made it into the prem are nowhere near as passionate, true they pay their money but dont they realise that if all of us sat there in silence then we would have no home advantge whatsoever.

I loved the Lou Macari years loved the Vic, hated the season we moved to the Brit and the few years that followed. But something changed when Peter took Stoke City back from the Icelandic board. He gave us stability and a bottomless pit of cash to buy the stadium and fund our charge up the leagues. He saved our club and should be knighted for it. I hate that we have fans who were nowhere near our club when we were struggling in the lower leagues the same people are season ticket holders now we are in the Prem. But, we have made the Brit our home. We are talked about all the time whether it's good or bad. I feel so privileged to have personally watched us drop so low but bounce back so dramatically into the top table in football. Bet365 and Sir Peter got us here, it's absolutely brilliant, we are living the dream. Why would we trade all this gory for mediocre lower league football. I used to love seeing our name mentioned in the greenun on a Sunday morning, now we are on MOTD every week. What a spot on comment......nice one...totally agree

Have you changed your mind ray? todays performance was special, the quality players came out to play against the big boys and kicked ass,i enjoyed myself today guys but in some ways it only confirmed why i am calling it a day,the lack of passion in the seats while watching a stoke master class was a sad reminder of whats happening to our football culture, loud n proud daft buggers like myself are out numbered by silent pundits,

I say at the front of the boothen on a swapped ticket today Ray and it was like the good old days. Hip flask going about, loads of singing, loads of shouting, great banter and of course we beat a team that should be challenging for the champions league ( the last one wasn't quite so 'good old days' but you get the idea!)

The world changes sometimes for the good, sometimes not so good but for the most part we have to roll with it. Some things we can't change even if we want to. I know what you mean but sometimes you need the 'don't let the bastards grind you down' attitude. Otherwise if everyone like us old fossils packed in we'd just turn into the Emirates library. Come on you know it makes sense. The good times are coming, the gravity crocodile is dead.

How are you feeling now Ray?
Hope you feel better about the club and the players we have playing these days; they have certainly given us a great Christmas. Have you considered moving seat next season instead of packing in?
Happy new year.

Hopefully gone and not coming back. Give the seats to fans who want to watch and support the team rather than only being there for the pre and post match drinks.

If it's singing your missing join a choir - nothing can be done about that I'm afraid. Don't know why but I don't often sing at home but don't shut up away
Perhaps just go to away games? Your missing the best football we have played in a long time though...

after years of supporting stoke through thick n thin,i have decided that this season is my last as a season tkt holder.i hope we get to wembley again this season so i can sign off on a high.the first few seasons in the prem were pure bliss, sadly the reality is now hitting home,i have slowly realised that the stoke i supported as a boy for 40 odd years is now gone forever, this prem bollox is too sanatised ,void of any real connection with the citys working class, too many average johnny foreigners picking up a fat wage from a club they feel nowt for,all seater stadiums where i am obliged to sit among people i would normally avoid outside the ground.i know that its not stokes fault, its just how footy is nowadays, its just not for me. raytupper, signing out did you renew your season card?

fuk me I thought I was a miserable bastard,if you haven't enjoyed our spell in the prem then you need your bumps felt. yes we had some great times in the 70's & 80's but lets be honest third division football was shite. yes it was good taking armies all over the uk but those days are gone. I am 54 yet I am still excited for the forthcoming season I want to see shaquiri become the star of the prem. we also have bojan, imbuls, the new kid,and manymore great time to be a stoke fan
