We controlled the game. You had one chance. Sending off made little difference Yeah, of course you did. Allardyce did what our ex manager did years ago. 10 men behind the ball, hit and hope something drops. It did and well done. I'm assuming you couldn't see properlyfrom the North Stand, or maybe just maybe you weren't at the game. You played some pretty football around the edge of the box without ever penetrating. You had one chance that Walters (?) should have buried and that was it. You lost, you deserved to lose. Deal with it

Whelan played well. Butland still looks the business. Our defensive efforts with 10 men were good for a fair while.

Except when we did it Pulis wanted our front man to gather the ball and keep it, they knock the ball up to Fletcher and he goes down quicker than Johnson in a creche Watmore was just as bad. Boot it into the channels, get the kiddie to run onto it, fall over and ask the ref for a yellow. It seems they are breeding them for the modern game in the North East. Didn't notice him "falling over and looking for a yellow" when he buried the ball past Butland

I thought Johnson was our best player today he looks excellent with the ball at his feet.

Go easy on the pop.

I suspect Diof might be struggling psychologically as he clearly isn't right and is very well thought of by management and the squad real shame as its its not long since that heroic effort against Chelsea in the cup .

I enjoyed my cod from clam's, thanks for the recommendation, chips were bit poor though. I had a walk round your ground and saw the steel of men on the bank and the wheel and the floral display for fulop. I was impressed with the stadium and the connection it tries to make with the fans, the fan zone is a nice idea. Onto the match first hals reminded me when we played Newcastle tother week, home side very wasteful whilst we found the final 3rd a dead end. 2nd half shawcross was the major decision and the big game changer for me, initially not straight away but when you made attacking subs game changed. You took your goals well from what I could see. Watmore is probably your best player by far, you can see his heart and spirit for the badge. As for the ref, what a joke, so many bad decisions.

Most positive thing is we got a kick up the backside. We played rubbish and need to learn that we can't just turn up and expect to win. Hopefully this is motivation for Tuesday and a lesson learned.

We got Ryan sent off by sending him back out all allardyce would have been nullified if we had done that so naive it's untrue Spoken like a clown who doesn't have the first clue about anything.

Who was blocking the shot? My dad thought he should. I thought he saw it late. Agree someone should have closed the shot down.

He saw it incredibly late Dave, no blame from me.

I'm looking forward to seeing the goal again. Someone was attempting to close the shot down. They just didn't do a very good job of it, reacting to the danger far too late. From my shit seat at the back of that god forsaken away end, I couldn't tell who it was.

Quite possibly. I was surprised it went in pretty centrally but it looked to go straight through the blocker. Who the blocker was, I'm interested to observe.

Funny that, because I haven't seen anybody saying this since we last lost a league game. Even the games we've been winning we haven't created all that much and a lot of that has been down to our slow approach play Not sure whether I agree with that to be honest We created enough chances to win two or three games last weekend.

Big sam did the damage,he was going mental at 4th official and then at half time gave Mike Dean a flee in his ear about Ryans challenge on Duncan Whatmore and fletcher saying he shouldn't even be on the pitch. I would of been tempted to take Ryan off much like Alex Ferguson did with Gary Neville at the Brit. He got his way

Walters shows his limitations again.
I dont think he's going to be in the team for a while....at least I hope not.
God knows what we are planning to do with him for 2.5 years. Him and Crouchy must be very good in the dressing room!

But no end product, it's been the story of the season so far. When Arnie or Shaquiri got the ball ,you were waiting for them to go past there man, they just didn't try. Agree. They need to be find the confidence to risk losing the ball, if it means they will occasionally show a defender a clean pair of heels.

I travelled up today and as well as we have done in recent weeks we blew it today , no urgency in our play against a woeful slow defence and only one real chance created again , we desperately need someone with the drive and energy of the kid that came on for them . Our points total is great but the lack of chances and goalmouth action has to be a worry , I went to Newcastle a few weeks ago and again today we were dull as dishwater to watch against two bad teams

We did nothing with it though no penetration no urgency , when team's defend in numbers we are clueless , we look better against the better sides who allow us to play on the break
