You've got to hope so haven't you? Their trump card vs us is Fletcher and Defoe, two players who always seem to do well against us. Keep them two quiet and our forwards should decimate their backline. Sunderland to win 5-0.

I'd take a dour 1-0 if it keeps our run going but it'd be great to really run them ragged and slot 3 or 4 past Pantillimon...

Hope so but we need to start burying these chances we are creating.

There's more chance of resurrecting Joe Pasquale's career.

3:00 KO on a Saturday on the back of a great away run! Can we break our jinx there ? Who's going?

I will be there providing I get up to Stoke to catch Coach 7 at 9am. If I miss I guess I will drive the whole way! And we do not want to gift Sunderland 3 points and set them on some run of their own. Let's hope we win.

It is this kind of mentality which is why these types of runs continue. We will win and win well and all we have to do is believe it.

It is this kind of mentality which is why these types of runs continue. We will win and win well and all we have to do is believe it. Fine line between believing we'll win and thinking it's a formality. The Watford game proved that. Still, this is probably the worst Sunderland team since our promotion (and let's be honest, they've always been a bit shit). They have a very ageing squad and this season they're looking genuine relegation material. The problem is big Sam, excellent manager. He could make any team hard to beat. This isn't going to be a formality, not by a long shot. I do believe we'll win but it's important we do a proper professional job. 1-0 will do for me.

It's going to be a tough game next week, managers like big Sam always seem to get the upper hand against Hughes in the way they set there teams up.

I'm going to the SoL for the first time on Satdee. Looking forward to it, since there seems to be a dearth of home games in November. The Chelsea game seems a long time ago.

I'll be there, optimism on board. It's just so amazing to go to away games, in these exciting times, knowing that we can win and believing that we will. And if not, confident that the lads will have given their all and made us proud.

After not being at the Southampton game I had a long hard look at myself as some wonderfully devoted supporter requested and guess what... I'm not going to Sunderland either.
Once again I beg for forgiveness.

The SoL makes the Brit feel like Barbados. One of my coldest ever days at a game was at the SoL. A desolate hole if ever there was one.

I managed to get tickets to the tyne-weir derby in October (absolutely mental atmosphere), i can confirm that even then it was bloody cold!! Stoke will definitely be in for a hostile reception as they just need the points, wish i could go myself on saturday to be honest. Enjoy those that are going!!

Mike Dean was fucking horrific when we first got promoted, but I've said before, since he was taken off our games, for a reasonable sustained period he has consistently favoured us in matches he's reffed.
Don't know how to feel. Not a particularly good ref at all.
