I predicted a 1 1 draw before kick off, so I'm well happy with the result. Gotta say the final result was down to Butland's first class performance again, especially in the second half. One special kid he is.
Our lads need to pull the trigger more on sights of goal. We seem to be trying to walk it in.
It will get better, I'm sure. Shaq seemed to get his act together the more the game went on. He also looked very disappointed at being substituted. Good signs that.

I though we looked (PREDICTABLY) very leggy towards the end and, some of the players coming on, weren't immediately running around like their lives depended on it All in all a satisfactory week BUT we needed more legs in the team second half and for some inexplicable reasoning, our manager either - didnt put them on soon enough or, left it far too late for my liking Ireland for Bojan shoud've been first sub - then, Van Ginkel for Adam then, Afellay based upon what Ive been seeing All this wanted Ireland. hes had what 3 or 4 good games since he arrived and 2 of them against lower league opposition

First time I'm starting to get bored watching Stoke, really is boring sideways passing and no end product You only been watching them this season then?

We'll have more creative days and arguably we didn't have the better of 0-0 but that was so, so much solider at the back than the Watford game. Just a good steady away point which tbh looked like what Leslie set up for and no complaints about that. 7 from me add * if you were there please? good shout from Ireland

Good solid point off a bottom of the table rival woodland take thar all day long 8 games to get 7 poked now to meet the half way target very very tough given they include Chelsea , Man Utd , Man City , Everton Palace and Southampton but for today you woken take it and it's not today or I'm the nedt seven we have made our first half so tough . Player wise neither bojan or Shaq would start for Me next week but Cameron , Walters , shawcross , Adam Diof all would against a wounded Chelsea Is your predictive texter dyslexic as well as retarded?

Shaq.bojan.Arnie all seem to forget that they are there to score or at least have a go at goal.instead they are competing with each other to see who can pass it best.very disappointing

As I've already said, a great point, also another clean sheet, as far as I'm concerned that's it, move on to the next game.

6*.
Picked the right time but as usual made poor substitutions.
Game was crying out for Diouf. Shaq should have been topld to stay wide.
Afellay instead of Ireland?

We are crying out for a striker. There are too many set up players IMHO, and much as I like Diouf, he again IMHO is not and won't be the answer.

I like Joselu mate. Was overjoyed by his swansea performance. But against watford, in a game whereeveryone was poor his performance still stuck out for the rank ineptitude and lack of effort. I hope he comes good but if he doesnt want to fail he firstly needs to look at himself and question whether he is putting in 100%. I'm speculating that hughes will probably not trust him with a starting place unless he has to. He got dominated by a championship centre back pairing. He couldn't do much more against Watford, it was either poor management or an even worse performance from the wide men, Joselu needs crosses in the box but instead we tried to walk it in, Crouch was just as crap when he came on because again no crosses into the box, unfortunately I think it was down to Hughes on the day. Yup we played 2 target men and we didn't really target them. Not their fault at all.

6 got the job done but should have given Diouf a run out for 20 minutes and maybe Ireland for Bojan. Gouranga.

Walters missed a couple of golden chances again today, add to that the 2 great chances he had to put Tuesday game to bed it's time to give Mame a prolonged run in the centre forward role, Joselu isn't the answer, Crouch and Oddie so given our lack of goals and shots on target we need Mame on his game and scoring for us. He should have come on for Bojan today and dropped Walters deep we might have had a couple of more shots on target. Gouranga.

Did I imagine it on my buffering stream (was at a Halloween party on blocky 3g coverage!)
Butland saved, attacker followed up the loose ball with the goal at his mercy and Pieters threw himself in to block on the line?
Was an amazing piece of defending if I havent gone mad! Not seen it mentioned

Was an absolutely brilliant piece of defending.
Although their player was given offside. Not that Pieters knew!

Player was offside, Pieters didn't know that of course so it was still an amazing block.

Pieters is getting better and better. If the back four of Johnson, Ryan, Wolly and Pieters can stay together for a few games we will get results. What concerns me still is that Whelan is playing his socks off but Adam is very hit and miss. Hoped MVG would be the answer but doesn't seem so. Ireland and Sidwell are also hit and miss, don't particularly like Cameron in that spot but he may be the best short term solution as at least he can tackle.

I've already said this on two or three other threads. We need a proper goal scoring striker! When is this club (that I love, and want to see win every week), going to realise? I do not care what anyone else thinks. We bloody well need one! Rant over.
