20 times the price and at a club 20 times as big. I don't get this methodology. You can't criticise a player because if he was good at what you are criticising him for he wouldn't play for our 'mediocre' team. It's completely crap, the fact is he and others do play for us and until they get a foot up their arse and start playing how they can and should they should be criticised. it would benefit us all if they did. Who said anything about criticism? If people want to slate him, fine. Do it. The goalposts have moved from lazy to inconsistent. Yes he is inconsistent but is it wrong and why is it wrong to point out that if he was consistent he wouldn't be here, because to me it's as clear as day that he wouldn't?

If Butland has a bad day at the office we will take a thumping. We have to start getting more shots on goal.

Eh, would you have taken COC QFs vs Sheff Wed and a point in the PL at the start of the week? Yes, definitely. Praise be Jack Butland. England's #1.

We're lucky to get anything from this, Newcastle have been good Correction, we made Newcastle look good. Another 90 minutes of utter gash from the team. Behave your self. Your entitled to your opinion but here's mine . Newcastle ain't a bad side the league position at the moment dies not reflect their season. We didn't play too bad today but Newcastle were the better team. This board are far too negative we expect to win every game. It was an entertaining game.

Did Crouch create some sort of record for most free kicks conceded per minutes on the pitch ?
Decent point though..largely down to Jack..

An almost literally fighting draw. Think Newcastle deserved the win if I am honest. Just grateful for a man of the match Butland.

Newcastle are improving, so a point is a good result on the face of it. The performance was very disappointing though, for all the forward talent we are supposed to have we look toothless up front.

Good away point, probably more than we deserved but happy enough with that. Butland was out of this world, MOM by some distance. Thought Charlie had a decent game, and Shaq starting to show some glimpses but needs to improve his end product. Special mention for Affelay, thought he did well after coming on for Bojan.

I wouldn't say the goal posts have moved I think people have branded him different things. I for one don't particularly think he is lazy, he can be but he does work when he wants too. I think the main question has to be why can he be so up for it for some games and then be so half arsed the rest? we as a club can not afford to carry players if they arent at up for it in the hope that in one future game they will have a blinder. I still dont understand why we should have this mentality that we should be happy with a top player not performing well because if he did he would play for a top 4 team.
