We have a far better squad than them. But in all respects they will give us a good test.

The way we defend set pieces, the result is inevitable, 1-0 to WBA after we are out muscled on a set piece. The rest of the game will see them ease us off the ball every time we move into the final third of the field.
This is a game for the hard men in our squad and we might just have the quality to respond to their set piece with goals of our own.

TP will do what TP does best at away fixtures; Sit 10 players behind the ball and hope to grab something on the break! We'll dominate possession, it will just be a question if we can break through his rigid, two banks of four!

Hopefully we can take example and get at them from the off, its a matter of time before the whole team clicks.

I really do hope we hammer WBA, we won't but I really hope we do. It might just help some of us move on from the TP love in.

The first goal will be crucial. If TP gets it,it will be hard going. If we score first he will have to find a plan B.

When Sparky was at Fulham for that one season they beat us 2-0 home and away and tactically he taught Tone a lesson. We could do with a bit of that again next week.

Whether it's WBA, when Stoke 2015/16 click one team will get its arse kicked. The way the opposition were able to open us up at will and the lack of creativity it's more likely us who get our arses kicked.Butland saved us from a thrashing yesterday

You just know pulis will try and make the game as horrible as it can be. He will be on the training ground this morning with kempy going over set plays time and time again. Not a prayer will pulis allow us play free flowing football. Expect a stop start game with the referee constantly with his whistle in his mouth. I'm hoping we get a early goal and make them come out there shells but weve all seen a pulis team and we know exactly what they are like.

I hope so. I think so as well, but it did take us longer than this to get going last season so you never know.
A lot will depend on today. If West Brom get hammered then Pulis will be getting a lot of stick, can he really afford to come to Stoke and risk a 1 nil defeat before the international break given their fans' opinions of him and West Brom's love of changing managers?
If Pulis reverts to type and plays defensively I fancy us to get a couple of goals at least, if he has one of his go for it days then you never know. The squads aren't that badly matched and the result might just go either way.

Given our poor defending of set peices and crosses I think we can guess what TPs tactics will be.

1-0 either way, but I'm really not sure who to.

could go either way knowing Pulis though he tends to do well against passing teams with a shit defence. We've seen many times Pulis shut up shop and grab a 1-0, I think he'll fancy his chances on set pieces & Hoofing it up to Lambert and looking for knock downs for berahino whilst out muscling our 'nice' lads, or should I say introducing our new foreign 'footballers' to English football.
4 games no win is not a stat we need.
For me Stephen Ireland must start because his quick link up play as they try to keep shape is exactly what we'll need.

I shall be watching WBA set pieces through my fingers or behind a sofa. MH needs to mix up the clientele for this match which means a bit more of our tried and tested experience interspersed with some of our new A-listers (eg. Shaq). I think it could be a game for a couple of Adam, Walters or even Crouch

This game worries me we need 3 points. Pulis will be rubbing his hands and loading his 6 footers ready for this watching our weak defensive trait. I don't think there will be much point in playing Crouch against their giants .
Just hope we can get through them on the floor.

Berahino not in the WBA squad for today - probably won't be at the Brit next Saturday?
Their new signing Rondon makes his debut - unknown, will probably get a view of him later on
Meanwhile, we have Luton away on Tuesday and West Brom host the Vale.
Weds / Thurs / Fri for MH and co to select the strongest team for next weekend, as well as potentially oversee some last minute activity in the transfer window
Currently we have 26 nominated players so at least 1 will be sold or out on loan!

1-0 loss with a goal via a set piece. It's going to be fun.
As for the team I'd go;
Butland
Cameron Wilson Muni Pieters
Whelan Van Ginkel
Shaqiri Ireland Arnie
Diouf
