Wasn't LMH the manager of QPR when they beat TP's Stoke 1-0 at Loftus Road - a result that ultimately kept QPR up.

1st goal next week is huge against the baggies for obvious reasons. If they get it it's 10 men behind the ball but if we get it I believe we could hammer them.

Watching the albion today I wondered how many of their players would make our starting 11? Morrison, Brunt & Berahino but he's on his way so only 2. Man for man we are far superior and SHOULD win but football is a 'funny old game'

We are almost bound to concede goal(s) from set piece against WBA (Pulis-ball). I am worried

The trick then is not to concede any stupid free kicks and play well enough not have West Brom force corners against us.
They had four corners in the last away fixture at Watford and thirteen free kicks (though how many were in dangerous positions I don't know).
They were also very shit by all accounts.

They didn't look very impressive at all to me. Although the ref in clatternberg showed some bollocks on giving what were just decisions against a big club. They did look very predictable. Firing diagonal balls from the halfway line into the box and playing off knockdowns. I believe Chelsea would have run away with it but for the Terry sending off. But we will see next week.

Wasn't LMH the manager of QPR when they beat TP's Stoke 1-0 at Loftus Road - a result that ultimately kept QPR up. It was Jon Walters barging the Bolton keeper over the line that kept ultimately kept them up. They needed a result at Man City but they needed to win the league at the same time! Take away the wrongly awarded Walters goal and Hughes would have a relegation on his CV.

We could do with a win next week regardless of the opposition and their manager.

Taken from the Baggies forum After everything said during the Mowbray / Pulis battle for the Championship title, I never thought I'd see the day when we played Stoke, and they were the footballing team and us the hoofball side.

They have two threats - McManaman and the hoof to Rondon.
I watched the WBA Chelsea game today and safe to say Albion were diabolical. The man is anti-football and we must win.

My biggest concern is we have all this attacking talent but we're going to Norwich and having one shot on target! Hopefully it will just take time to click and get going like last season. Even though West Brom look shit they create chances 'the Pulis way'

They won't be able to cope with our slick passing They will just ease us off the ball like Norwich did today. Skill is nearly as irrelevant as goals if you don't have the strength to earn the right to play. You're definitely losing your touch. Throwing in the 'goals are irrelevant' line and not even getting a nibble. Time for a rethink.

Its like a parallel universe from about 5 seasons ago leading up to a West Brom fixture where we are worried about being out muscled and done on a set piece!

For me Wilson and Ireland in and Bojan on the bench. I'd go with
Jack
Glen Wilson Muni Eric
Whelan GCam
Afellay Ireland Shaq
Diouf
Thought Wilson looked OK today today even though we played a poor side. I think he gives us a bit more physicality.
Bojan on the bench not sure he looks quite 100 percent yet but very encouraging.
Arno needs a kick up the arse putting him on the bench might do it.
Thought GCam gave us energy and was excellent defensively

Whelan Adam
Shaqiri Ireland Arnautovic

Pulls has been using the cage in midfield and I think we can get away with using Adam in the deeper role. His ability to drive forwards and make things happen, with Ireland as the link between defence and attack should see us able to break down West Broms defensive set up.

His ability to drive forwards and make things happen, with Ireland as the link between defence and attack should see us able to break down West Broms defensive set up. This would also be my team. Wilson played fairly well against Luton but I don't think he played well enough to justify dropping Cameron from centre back and, as you say, Adam is more direct so will offer a bit more than a Whelan and Cameron duo.

Shaqiri ireland walters
If we work as hard as we did last night with this shite patient posession game we'll lose. Pulis will press us and we're shit keeping the ball under pressure. Going have to edit my predictions after last nights no show.
Someone needs to tell these players to show some fucking urgency to get the ball back and learn how to keep posession when it matters like at the end of halves instead of pointless passing in their own half when its 0-0.
Utter dog shit.

I'd like to see Whelan getting into those advanced positions whilst simultaneously protecting the back 4.
By doing both jobs simultaneously, this would mean that as well as conceding fewer chances and creating more goalscoring ones, it would also open up more space for others.

I'd definitely play Adam with Ireland in front of him. At least then you have two players in the middle of the pitch who'll go looking for the ball.
It's gonna be a difficult one.

I'd simply hand team selection over to bayernoatcake and Benjie - they are the only people who really won't tolerate the mess the club is in after this disastrous transfer window.

Regardless of who the other 10 are , Ireland has to start, no question. He should have started at Norwich, he seems to be the only one capable of picking out that killer pass.
