I bartend part time at one of the best craft beer bars in the mid Atlantic region. (The brewers at Dogfish head are my regulars) so I know enough to know there isn't much in Florida. The Pacific NW is a beer haven! That said I'm tying my MLS lot to Philadelphia... Just need to find time to get to some matches... An Edu Jersey is a must lol So you don't rate Cigar City Brewing, Brew Hub, 3 Daughters, Florida Avenue, or Copper Tail to name a few? Showing your arse now mate, maybe you ain't as "continental" as you think!

Well at least Philly beat Columbus last night, Le Toux played a very tidy match.

From what I've understood, many of the Florida Brewing companies aren't too big and don't venture too far out of Florida, let alone the southeast. Most aren't highly rated. When you think of a good brew, you just don't think of the Southeast is all. I'm sure you have plenty of fine places that just aren't big enough to get national attention.

I've gotten to know the Victory guys pretty good, we've done some promotions with them. I know Sam at Dogfish has collaborated with them. Wyerbacher is pretty good, we get a number of things from them. All I've had from Founders is the Breakfast Stout which is fantastic! There are some Great ones in the Midatlantic... Dogfish Head, Ommegang, Troegs, Southern Tier, Brooklyn, Victory, Laughing Dog, Heavy Seas to name a few:)

I've gone to a couple Earthquakes games this season and it's a good experience despite the talent not being great. Unlike other leagues the atmosphere is more family oriented, which is something American sports needs.
MLB and the NBA have turned into "social scenes" where half the tickets are corporate seats and a lot of the fans are just there because it's the cool place to be. The tickets are too expensive for parents to bring their kids. The NHL is a better atmosphere, but really expensive too. NFL games are nothing but drunken thugs and games are terrible live anyways.
So really if you're a middle income family of four and you want to frequent sporting events, your options are the MLS and minor league baseball.

I've not seen him play but Cyle Larin seems to be a bit of a find looking at his goal record? Scored a beauty tonight from 25 yards and Orlando gets a big road win! Karin is off to play for the Canadian National Team now. Rookie who has started to find the net. He is raw but is getting better and better every week. Not the finished product but where would Orlando City be without his goals?

Orlando, 1 nil up against DC and the commentator says "it's not been a vintage display".
It's the 15th game in their history FFS. Hardly a vintage.

Another great atmosphere. Game was a bit of a tactical stalemate, DC never looked dangerous and we're happy to sit back and defend and hoped to catch Orlando against the run of play. City held the ball very well but struggled to break down the two banks of four. Almost 100 degrees on a plastic pitch was never going to contribute to a fluid match, in addition to the international break disruptions. All about the result tonight lads, not a gods how for the neutral.
