But you can never really know until both sides have batted ! The nature of the game indeed my friend. Last time they were here NZ needed just over 200 over two days and found themselves 29-6! Yes I remember ......and hopefully Broad will find the pitch and conditions to his liking .

Just seen it back mate it was a belter, he seems to have got into a rut where he either scores next to nothing or a big score. Some of the shots he gets out to whilst being attacking in nature are actually pretty stupid for a player of his intelligence, if anyone can build an innings steadily it's Bell...... You have a point there .....it does make me wonder if it's a legacy of the pressure he's been under to score quickly in limited overs cricket ...it should not be of course , but he never used to be so loose with some of his shot selection . Perhaps it's just me looking for a reason when all it is is just poor judgement on his part ? I'd cut him a lot of slack - getting out early is just one of those things in cricket. What annoys me with Bell is when he plays one of those elegant, flowing knocks of 30 odd then throws his wicket away. That said, he's not managed to get that far very much recently! Interesting to see another counter attacking innings by Stokes is underway. It is great entertainment. But that seems to be the only innings he can play. That's why I'd have him at 8 and Butler at 6.

No he has not 13 from his last five innings I think .....hoping it changes in the second innings .

Some of Ben Stoke's footwork is unusual .....but it's proving effective so far .

First time I've seen Craig - that must be the campest action I've seen from a spinner.

Root has all the attributes to be the best player in the word for years to come. Love his attitude, never gets riled and just smiles back to the bowler when getting sledged, because of that very rarely lets the bowler get under his skin. Well played Root and Stokes lets see if we can cobble 300 together come close of play.....

Fantastic session for the neutral.
One of the most un-English counter charges I've seen.

NZ bowlers very expensive after the first hour, could be a factor to capitalise on.
