Ings is a idiot if he goes to Liverpool to sit on the bench Is there such a thing as an extremely rich idiot? (Aside from those who inherit millions)

I don't think he'd be on that much really no more than we could offer

Always been a fan of the little guy and would love see him at Stoke. I've said a few times we should have gone for him. Great head on him, considering his height anyway and certainly knows where the back of the net is. Him up front with bojan behind would be like a dream. Underused at man u and not getting enough game time at real. Can't see why we couldn't get him, depends on if we're interested in the first place and how ambitious we would be concerning his salary etc.

www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/429582/Javier-Hernandez-Man-Utd-Everton-Real-Madrid-Transfer-West-Ham-Stars-Gossip-LatestApparently we are in the mix for him. Would be an incredible signing in my opinion. His movement off the ball is up there with the best around. 26 years old, has pace, can finish. He would link up perfectly with Bojan next season. He's the kind of player we need up front. He's got what Diouf is lacking....ability on the ball and finishing ability. Don't get me wrong Diouf is ok but when teams sit back against us and park the bus I don't think he has the technical ability to contribute and break teams down, Diouf is a great counter attacking player but that's it. Hernandez would offer us that movement and threat upfront. And because he's skillful and clever I think he'd link very with Bojan. Maybe it's a long shot but for £8 million what a signing it would be!!!

If Stoke are going to attract a player of this quality, it is vital they finish 8th or better and well clear (points wise) of the likes of WHU, Newcastle, & Everton.

Mike Pejic in Sentinel.... As our thoughts turn inevitably to the summer and new signings, I'll throw the name of Javier Hernandez at you. Some might scoff at the very possibility of signing a player on loan at Madrid from Man Utd. But he's not getting much game time out there, and we could certainly offer him more of that here in Stoke. And let's not be shy about the greater pulling power we have these days. Finishing 8th would only add to the attraction of a club that's already raised the right eyebrows by signing the likes of Bojan.
I don't know the figure United would put on his head, but maybe a season-loan could be arranged? I'd love to see a player I liken to Gary Lineker here. He loves getting behind defences and is a constant threat in and around the area. His willingness to work and ability to anticipate will always generate chances, just like Lineker in his pomp.
His movement off centre-backs and ability to get in behind certainly reminds me of the ex-England man. The pair of them thrived in that 6-12 yard area and I bet he'd get 15 league goals if used in the right way. I'm sure Hughes would play to his strengths and not commit the mistake we saw from Roberto Martinez with Lukaku the other night. He already has been a target When was that, JSU? Last summer before he went to Madrid?

Yea Stokiejack, imagining him and Bojan in the same side dunt half feel good. Normally i would say never happen, but you know what, you never know with a manager like Hughes. Right now, from a players point of view, what's not to like about Stoke

Not sure how he would fit into a 4231 formation unless he could play in one of the wide roles of the three behind the lone striker. He certainly couldn't play the lone striker role. If he COULD play in the Walters role on the right of the three with Moses on the other side and Bojan in the middle then we'd really be cooking on gas! Provided, of course, that we could find a monster to play in the lone striker role. But can he track back when needed?

Exactly what we need. If we had someone who could contribute 12-15 a season up top, as Hernandez could do, we would be a very good side.
As for Hernandez, we would need to play him alongside someone who could hold the ball up to get the best use out of him (Crouchy) as he is a poacher. Neither should we look at him as someone who can create. But he could give us that killer instinct that we have lacked in the final third for a long, long time.

Hernandez (anybody calling him 'Chicarito' should be banned for a season) would be ideal for us.
He's quick, always on the move, drags defenders all over the place and takes a good percentage of his chances.
There must be a reasonable chance of persuading him to come here.

37 goals in 102 games for manure according to Wikipedia...
Doubt it'll be 'under the radar' enough for any club to get him for a price that's worth the risk. I can imagine West Ham bidding 15 million plus with their move to the tax funded stadium due a year afterwards. They've got an awful lot of tickets to sell and need to be amazing next year to avoid playing in front of a half empty stadium.

I'd play 4,3,1,2. Bardsley, Shawcross, Muniesa, Pieters Walters, Nzonzi, Moses Bojan Crouch, Hernandez Bardsley and Pieters are good enough to overlap, and Walters and Moses are willing enough to put a shift in. Pieters is a bit exposed in that set up - although Bardsley has plenty of cover

It's hard not to get excited by the link, but I'm not sure he's what we need.

I've no idea, but my overriding thought is "is he really any good".
Aside from being a poacher I've seen relatively little in him to think he is anything other than someone capable of finishing the unmissable chance.
Would be a high profile signing for sure. How good a signing would be proven over a period of time I guess.

How can he go to Madrid and then moan about not getting much playing time?. He needs to stop listening to his agent and go somewhere and play.
