He's certainly been involved in the goals we've conceded as has Begovic in two, as have the two holding midfielders for not doing their jobs. I wouldn't mind a jot if Huth was picked over Wilson next week but to blame him outright for all three goal is a million miles wide of the mark. Not knowing where your man is a fundamental flaw in a centre back's game no? It is so why didn't Shawcross sort Ulloa out on the edge of our box. ?

So majority of goals we concede are quite literally down to Wilson??? Okay!!! Wonder who'll get the blame when Huth regains his place??? This season he's played his part in everyone we've conceded yes. Even his surrogate Dad TP is seemingly blaming him. lol, "surrogate dad" Okay, you may have a point in saying he lost his man yesterday bayern, but it's a little unfair to say he's a liability......... I personally like Wilson, also think he has a very good footballing brain........even top players from top clubs can loose their man and concede, even SHAWCROSS..........but he never comes in for critisism??? Our bigger concern doesn't lie with Wilson.......it's our inability to create or carve open a defense!!! Stoke for vast majority of the game yesterday WERE by far the better team.......but with little or no end product!!!! Leicester came, defended like crazy then caught us (exactly like Villa did) on the break when they were having their one really decent moment, they did in 2 minutes what we had failed to do in 90......open the defence up..........but that was the WHOLE of the defence, not just Wilson!!!!

TP is Shawcross surrogate Dad that's why he didn't criticise him, because he got him from Ferguson , made him captain when he is clearly not captain material, he won't criticise his pet

He wasn't out of position. Pieters is the only one out of position. Pieters wasn't out of position either. He had filled the gap vacated by Shawcross who, as the moved developed, was lying down on the edge of their box. How Shawcross even got back at all was a miracle and puts paid to the myth of him being slow. A miracle, thats his job

Its simple...square pegs in round holes yet again...
MW is not a natural CH...
He is a QUALITY CM or a decent cover LB/RB.

We are on to page 6 of this thread and people are still criticizing the defence who have only let in 3 goals in 4 matches, including 2 when the side were pressing hard into the opponents half and got caught out by break aways.
Stoke's problem is quite clearly the inability to score goals, not the defence or Wilson.

He very rarely makes mistakes..... I aren't saying it isn't a problem but it's a problem exacerbated by having a bloke in the back line who cannot fundamentally defend. Yes we've only conceded 3 goals but he's fucked up for every one of them....how is that not an issue? Yes exactly like Villa did....which is just stupid, we didn't learn, he didn't learn. He gave the man too much space in both goals. But I think he was awful last season too and at the end of the said season said we'd struggle if he plays 10 games or more. I stand by that.

Stoke's problem is quite clearly the inability to score goals, not the defence or Wilson. They've been stupid, elementary, costly goals born of poor defending though. That's a problem.

Generally teams that can't score and concede sloppy goals don't do well.....

Ulloa had the ball on the edge of the box went pass Shawcross who did his usual stick his leg out, Ulloa then pass the ball out to the wing and runs into the box Watch the game, were you there ? Highlights are available Right yeah when he was running back after being dropped to the deck following the set piece. It's clearly his fault and he should have left the neat post to babysit Wilson on the far stick. Makes perfect sense now. Man or ball , would make sense
