I'm sure it's been done before but heh ho.
Mine was v Leicester at home March 77 1-0 defeat Worthington goal at the tender age of 7. My dad did take me to Crewe v Workington a couple of months before to break me in gently but it's always been the Potters and from memory I was a regular the year after.

I went to my first game in 89 and have no bloody idea who we were playing. How some of you on here remember some of the stuff you do always amazes me.

1964 Stoke v Man Utd. I was 7 and had never seen anything like it, crammed into the Stoke End with my dad and cousin. A total assault on the senses.

1992 Stoke 0 Bolton 0. Bolton had a decent team which included players like Jason McAteer. Boothen End wasn't all that full. The next game I went was a month later and we beat Vale 2-1 in front of a full house.

The first match I actually recall with any clarity is against Everton in 75/76 season , we won 3-2. My Dad had taken me to games earlier than that but I don't remember them.

1-1 At home to Birmingham aged 10(for some reason i always thought it was 79 and we won 1-0 but records show i was wrong) My first match was against Sheffield Wednesday in 1952 - we lost and as an easily confused 5 year old I couldn't understand why they were called Wednesday when it wasn't (actually I always remembered it as a Thursday game until I checked the records, it was a Saturday !!) . I am easily confused still.

Luton Town---16th November 1974 we won 4-2, hooked ever since, started off in The Stoke End and then it was a natural evolution to The Boothen. Jimmy Greenhoff scored twice that day and he has been my all time sporting hero ever since.

First game was 28th December 1974 beating West Ham 2-1 in a league game. I had never seen an adult person the size or colour of Clyde Best who was a mountain of a man. Seem to remember Jimmy Greenhoff having a blinder that day although I may be getting mixed up. I was only 6 so I was with my dad that day and it would be a few years later before I would go with friends.

Huddersfield Town 1962/63 season. Same season for me too but v Portsmouth Nov 1962. We won 3-1 and I watched on my dad's shoulders on the town end. Made more special as half our family is from Portsmouth. The half from here is still watching and I've now inflicted it fully on my children and beginning to indoctrinate grand-children! Can't beat it.

Showing my age now, My first game was Dennis Violetts Testimonial in 1967, I was 11 at the time.
We played the England world cup winning side and lost 5 - 7. I asked my dad who did not like football to take me that night, I knew he would say no, so went on my own and I knew I would be in trouble if he found out.
It was a brilliant night, the vic was packed and at the end of the game it seemed like everyone was on the pitch, I ran on and got as close to Dennis as I could, Got back home, my dad was at the pub so went straight to bed thinking wow! I got away with it, what a night.
The next night the sentinel came through the letterbox, my dad was first to it as usual and like any man goes straight to the back page, the next thing I know I'm getting a right clip round the earhole. Why? well some kind sentinel photographer had took my photo along with hundreds of others while we were leaving the pitch.
i'll never forget that night and Stoke City has been in my blood ever since, The photographer actually did me a favour, It made my dad think and he took me to the next home match Man City at home where we won 3-0
Longton.
