Been #12 in the queue since 9.00. Think I'll wait for cash turnstile info. The mighty potter on twitter states there are cash turnstiles today. Enjoy the game!

All I can say is its a good job I come on this forum.
I ordered our 6 tickets online but as 2 of our season ticket seats had gone, we have 4 in normal seats and 2 in seats next to those 4.
I ordered them and washed my hands of it thinking, as normal, it would be loaded onto my card.
Earlier this week my 5 year old was banging on about Stoke tickets and I just ignored him.
I read this, mention it to the Mrs, she produces 2 paper tickets for todays game that arrived in the post and I'm all sorted.
I will be leaving Burnley for Stoke in about 10 mins and I would have left with no tickets had I not read this.
We arrive at the ground about 2.50pm. Imagine my reaction when 2 of our cards didn't work and 4 did!
Traffic problems, ticket issues...the whole thing is an absolute joke! Is it any wonder crowds are down and falling alarmingly with each passing week?

I asked him why season ticket holders needed a new ticket if they changed seats stokecity_joshw: As there are seat details on a season card it's against safety regulations to use that for a different seat. Hence a paper ticket.

Ask him what the safety regulations are for a standard Premier League game with a standard blank membership card and no apparent details of where people are sitting. #idcardssneakedinthroughthebackdoor

The club is a fuckin shambles at ticketing, i was told by ticket office staff at the begining of the season, that any cup matches would be loaded on to my season ticket card and that if i changed seats keep a copy of the receipt and seat numbers as proof. My mate got my ticket for man u game(different seats to usual) and when i went get my hull away tickets i got the guy to check the game had been loaded on my card, yep all sorted he said. Met my mate down stoke for united game and he gives me a paper ticket, wtf! Like my arse stoke, ive had my normal seats today but can see it been a disaster at the ground, the lack of info from the club is unbelieveable

All those in charge of this new ticketing system want sacking. It should be so simple but you'd get better organisation from a bunch of homeless drunks organising a trip to Mars.
Just tried to buy tickets online for my club membership card, tried my phone, the mrs phone, lads tablet, different browsers on the laptop, and it still won't load the part where you select seats.
Stoke City off the pitch, Like My Arse.

Tried to buy 2 online but don't want to collect, or will it be loaded automatically onto club member cards and not to collect. or is it better to pay cash although nothing on official site about this. Sounds like chaos this afternoon.

Sounds like it
Is ridiculous, don't get if they can't allocate a different seat to your card why they put your season ticket seat number in it - surely it would have been easier to allocate a generic club card for entry (this avoiding this horseshit), and perhaps a confirmation card (and nice little wallet to keep them in like the season ticket used to be in) or letter.
Whole thing is a farce for something that isn't that difficult
The parking, the traffic management, the difficulty getting tickets, reeks of amateurism.

Joe Skerratt ?@joeskerratt 41m stokecity_joshw just wondering is this going to be the same for every cup match? I thought Id be able to load a seat onto my season card. Josh Whittaker-Vyse ? stokecity_joshw 39m @joeskerratt When the attendance is expected to be low we can do unreserved seating and therefore load it all on to cards.Making it up as they go along!

I wonder how much this ridiculous system has cost us to install?
We're already going back to cash turnstiles (surprise, surprise) and there seems to be total confusion about whether season ticket holders buying cup tickets need cards, paper, blind faith or whatever to gain admission to the ground. It's only going to take something to go pear shaped and cause inconvenience and most folks won't want to be arsed with cup games at all.
I suspect that today we'll see a load of people paying cash, sitting in reserved seats and all the hassle and chaos that entails.

Just been get mine.
Queued for ages Got to window, said to the bloke i'd come to collect my PAPER TICKET. He asked when I'd purchased it. Said last night,,
His response "couldn't I have done it earlier?"
Didn't quite know what make of this. He scuttled off for a good 10 minutes then came back n said I can't find it. Asked him to print another then as I was in a rush. Been work since 5am and need to get gone I've come up now to collect it "hassle free" instead of at 2pm when it's manic.
He checks my account and says there is nothing on there I ain't brought one.. Said I bloody we'll have and have the email to prove it. He said nothing showing on my account since my season ticket in last year. Told him that can't be correct as been away games, Walsall game, Utd game etc.. He then says have you got a season card.. I said yes. To which he said oh you need a paper ticket then.
THATS WHY I'M HERE!!!! He scuttled off and came back again 5 minutes later and threw an envelope at me through the little hatch thing.
Absolute shambles....
It'll be chaos up there in the next two hours.

Sounds like a big load of balls again!
Why sell tickets to people on line and then tell them the night before they need to collect paper tickets?
It doesn't affect (I assume) me as I'm in my normal seat but this is just another way of alienating our supporter base.
The club really have to start looking at ways on enticing casual fans not putting them off with ridiculous and complicated processes.

I wrote a letter of complaint after the Rochdale cup game, the first ever match at the Brit, as countless hundreds were locked outside a 28000 capacity Stadium with an attendance of less than 11000.
It got me an audience with Jez Moxey.
Its good to know that 15 years on the club, off the pitch, remains the shambles it was back then.
This whole card system is an absolute farce.
The only positive in this is that its great ammunition for MoMo in his one man crusade against the best chief executive around! :-)
Like my arse Stoke. Well and truly like my arse!

It's all bollocks. They can load alternative seats on your season card but have chosen not to on this occasion and decided to issue the tickets we were told at the Walsall game were a thing of the past. Thing is they haven't told some people and have actively told other people the complete opposite.
Fuck up doesn't do it justice.

Changing the system isnt the crux of the problem. Assuming we are mind reading hypnotist artists is.
If it wasn't for the good people on this great forum I wouldn't have had a clue.
I'd have been stood at the turnstile, access refused and then stood at the back of a very long queue at 2.45pm.

Of course the irony being that today is going to be a low attendance... what are we expecting? 15k if we're lucky? I doubt we'll see anywhere near 20k... so exactly what is a low attendance? Absolutely fucking shambolic and it means I'm going to stand outside in the pissing rain waiting at 2pm for a paper ticket I could have picked up all week if I'd been made aware of the problems earlier. I wonder how much this ridiculous system has cost us to install? I have no idea how much this system cost, but if I know the board as well as I think I do, they'll have no doubt got the local fucking bandits to do it on the cheap and outsourced any software development to Uganda or some other third world country. The whole thing has been a fucking shambles since day one. I know for a fact for the first few weeks, the scanners weren't even verifying the data on the card, they were simply checking to see if it was a valid Stoke City card, which means anyone who had been given one could have gained access to the ground. As far as I'm aware, it's one of the reasons they were slow sending out non-season ticket cards. The stupid thing is, what they're trying to do isn't a particularly complex system. I am a software engineer myself, and as far as complicated systems go, I'd say a card entry system, that is contained within a single building probably sits in lowest bracket of complexity when considering software development projects. It's kids stuff, the kind of stuff you do at University as your first year project to show the lecturers you haven't spent your entire time snorting cocaine and drinking strong lager. Yet, unsurprisingly, Stoke have totally fucked it up.

Can I suggest that everyone who has been inconvenienced by this emails a complaint to the club at customers@stokecityfc.com
I know it'll seem pointless but it's the only way that the fuckwits who run our club will get the message. I spoke to a decent bloke at the ticket office this morning and he admitted it was an almighty cock up. Initially it was pointed out as my error but when I told him I had the email that stated the tickets were loaded to my card he backed down.
He also said that staff didn't know why the goalposts had been moved from the original email that stated that ALL cup tickets could be loaded to your card.
I'm self employed so will be asking the club to pay 2 hours of my day rate plus mileage to collect tickets as compensation. They won't but that's not the point.

What if a group of eight people want to go to a Stoke match coming from abroad and only three of them are Stoke supporters? We still would need to get 8 mebership cards, then order the tickets which was very easy With the old system, but now I probably will need to take a call instead. Why fix something that ain't broken in the first place! Arghhhhhhhhh!!!!!
