Trabzonspor look favourites for his signature, rumoured bid accepted, with Cardiff also interested.
This is looking terrible.

Quelle surprise! Mega money in Turkey. Yep, shocking to be fair! Apparently they have offered 4/6 million
First De Jong move falls through now this one looks likely.

This is looking terrible. Now, we know why PC and MH said there wouldn't be any early signings but it could turn out they mean no signings at all unless they can get a loan deal with Stafford Rangers!

Joke pal, even if he didn't go too turkey, Cardiff would offer more money than us, I cant understand what they have been doing for the past 3/4 months.

Says who?!??
We seem to be stressing ourselves over things that may never even be in the pipeline.

Of course Cardiff could offer more than us - Vincent Tan and his £25m. And watch them implode when the relegation happens and Tan makes them the next Blackburn or Leeds. If that's what they want to do, they can go ahead and buy him. They will still go down.
But who exactly at Cardiff has suggested he is wanted there? The manager has only agreed to join in the last 2 days!!
We won't be able to compete with the wages offered in Turkey, nor should we even try - ask yourself why Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba went there.
Paper talk stirred by agents to force other clubs' hands is common. How do you know this is true?

Didn't Tan say they weren't signing anybody in January and that's the reason for Mackay's departure?.

There are, hopefully Sparky and the team know this. Truthfully I couldn't name 5 strikers who could score 15 goals in the prem, costing around 8million and realistically going to be signing for us. Uncle peter wants young value for money signings now. I just hope we have more than just this guy on our radar.

Interesting when I see the need for a 15 goal a season striker and remember John Ritchie, best season 30, 176 from 347 games in total. 15 would have been a poor season.

Yes this is true but a regular 25-30 goals a season striker is in the £50m+ and £125k a week bracket these days Joe. I think only Stein and Thorne have achieved 30 goals in a season since Big John. It'll never happen again unless a wonder boy comes through the academy and we get a season or two out of him before he ends up at Man Utd.

According to Wiki, Diouf was at Molde between 07 and 09 and Solskjaer was the boss from 11 onwards. Their paths didnt cross at United either. I think you're getting mixed up with Pape Pate Diouf, who Solskjær managed twice at Molde.

I don't understand why the shock that we've lost out on him and lost out on yet another target.
Joke of a club when it comes to paying the going rate for a player and things will get a he'll of alot worse now PC allegedly has no say in transfers.
Not impressed yet again.
