Decision time for MH
Do we play our strongest 11 available?
Does this include Bego?
Surely we have a good chance to get beyond this round, would extra Cup games be a distraction or help the team to gel a bit more?

Strongest 10 + Sorro.

Bego
Wilko Shawcross Wilson Muniesa
N'Zonzi Palacios Ireland/Adam
Walters KJ Assaidi
Mix it up but still strong. Bego has to start imo. Rest Cameron, Pieters, Whelan, Crouch and Arnie and have them on the bench. And depending on who he wants to start in the league games, Ireland or Adam should play.

Strongest XI as though we were playing a league game.

i'm with Ramblers here.......extra games if we were still in europe would be a distraction but at this stage of the season we still need the confidence building up (one game against Chelsea doesn't suddenly turn us into a side that have no worries) and the team to gel properly/work out their own roles within the set up.
i don't see any reason not to play our strongest side at all

I suspect that Tommy's been promised the Cup games and Hughes will stand by that promise. Otherwise, the strongest side available.

It's a quarter final against the Shit.
We go strong and go for the win.
First team but with Tommy in goal for me.

Sorro for me we have to keep the squad harmony having a disgruntled keeper wont help. He's also a great back up keeper. Also if Bego gets injured we dont want a keeper who hasnt played for god knows how long coming in. Fair enough its only game however its one more game he would have had if something happened to Bego.

THIS. No better time to play 'em and they're up again tonight.

Tommy made mistakes in the last round, if we play Bego and we go through he can play the home leg in the next round and he can play against Leicester in the FA Cup anyway, it's likely to be his last season, I'd rather us keep Bego happy and play him in a huge game to show we're ambitious rather than chuck Tommy in and risk a good cup run just to give him an extra cup game

Begovic should be in for this - strongest 11 for me, though I'm not sure what that is.

Tommy doesn't look good enough anymore. I do like Sorro but lack of game time looked the case at Birmingham. Go with Bego for me

Infact I can't believe the question has been asked to be honest. Man Utd in the quarter final of ANY competition requires your strongest line up all day long.

I think review it after the hull game. If we win there then let's put our strongest 11 out. If we lose then mix it up as we have a hectic Xmas schedule with some ridiculous traveling to do

We will never, ever have a better chance to beat them. It absolutely has to be our strongest XI, with Sorensen. Anything else would be surrendering a possible League Cup semi-final.

A huge chance to win a trophy. Should be the first XI with no exceptions.

Sentimental wusses, that's why. Begovic makes game changing saves he should be in the team.

Why do we have to keep Sorensen happy?
He gets paid, what £1.5 million a year? And he probably won't even be a Stoke player next season.
Why should we deliberately handicap ourselves, when we've got a very good chance of picking up silverware just to keep somebody happy for a few months?
If we thought that Bego needed a rest to improve his league form then fine but he doesn't.
Bego should be the first name on the team sheet for the remainder of the competition - he's our best player ffs!

I do feel sorry for Tommy - he has been ousted by a very good goalkeeper and should be on the bench unless Bego is injured or has a massive loss of form.
A win for Stoke v Man Utd next week, including Asmir, may focus his mind re staying with us, as he will be playing in a Cup semi final.
Any possibility of another club "poaching" would be reduced imo
Same principle applies if / when he plays in the FA Cup v Leicester
I think we should go with Asmir

Huge game for us, genuine chance of a semi final over two legs and who knows!
I think they'll be up for it too, Moyes can't afford much more grief at the moment and having never won anything knows a trophy in his first Utd season will go a long way towards placating the fans.

With the Title almost gone, the Shit only have the cups to play for,if they want silverwear this season,so they will most likely be putting out their strongest 11.
