and chelsea have done with Cuevas Wouldn't we have to loan him to an EEC country to qualify or similar? Not much use to us really. Can we marry him off? Got it, change his name to BBerk Shea. basically yes...because none of the other countries in europe have such stringent work permit laws as ours so would mean loaning him out until he does fit in with our rules then we could bring him back

If it was the initial one it was likely to be refused, if it was the second, we're fucked. Amusingly disastrous though. Momo hold Your fingers for now! You have to laugh don't you! How fucking wank and inept are we?! Off to hell in a handcart..

How fucking wank and inept are we?! Off to hell in a handcart.. It is wank but having read Scholes' comments he's actually spot on. It's an absolute bollocks decision from the Home Office but being the sadist I am it is amusing. You just know now he's going to be the American Pele now for some bugger else!

So our Medical Team are Shite (Dembe Ba) and now our legal wizards don't know their arses from their elbows. But we still have the best managerial team in the premier league, don't we? Well Don't we?

Apparently we have no right to appeal (or so I've seen) and the deal's off? I wish you'd stop posting on here acting as a go between with stoke loud and proud. You go moaning and bitching to them when you put a tread about Jones being off in January & it being shit binned because you said "it's off stoke l&p so the oatcake shit binned it" and then you post to them that "the oatcake want to print red cards for Hughes" You're a cock!

They let all the shit of Europe in to claim what they want and put strain on our public services yet they won't let a young lad in that can give so much to the system? And they wonder why this country is fucked!

What more were they meant to do? They knew it'd get rejected first time around (so did Cameron and Shea). They knew they had a good case, 17ish caps for America already, still young and highly rated. But Greg Dyke fucked it up for us. Shame. Fat cunt.

So our Medical Team are Shite (Dembe Ba) and now our legal wizards don't know their arses from their elbows. But we still have the best managerial team in the premier league, don't we? Well Don't we? sod all to do with the legal team mate....there are literally dozens and dozens of players that set a precendent for being able to get a work permit depsite not meeting the criteria...absolutely no good reason this shouldn't have gone through.the deal was set up in the summer before Dyke came out with his stuff about wanting to be more stringent with work permits etc. apparently it would seem though that Dyke's push for getting tougher and wanting to push the future of english players doesn't count when it's Chelsea buying Willian who magically managed to get a work permit with no problems despite only representing his country only 4 times in 3 years! with cheesy, slimy, greasy, politically minded, attention seeking, power hungry, media whores like Dyke you can forget blaming anyone but him in general. he was just as bad at the BBC and hasn't changed now when it comes to sliming up to the big boys whilst proclaiming self righteous crap about his concerns for "English football". he's an arsehole, always has been, always will be!

The appeals panel have obviously been steered to operate in a more discriminatory way. And, to be fair, on the face of it, Agudelo certainly doesn't meet any 'exceptional talent' criteria as anyone would understand it, and is a bit of a gamble on a talented kiddie It's just that they've let any old idiot in previously (except Rudolph Austin when we wanted him!)

Confusing to say the least.
I understand there are rules to follow blah blah blah, but at the end of the day we are talking about a young person's career which is potentially in disarray due some bureaucratic nonsense.
How they can refuse any footballer a work permit is beyond me. Football is just a game, factors such as the success of the national team should take a back seat to economic considerations.
The country wants to reduce its fiscal deficit so it turns away football players. I still (and I don't think I ever will) understand the logic behind such an absurd decision.

So what happens now? We don't get our man? Why did Willian get his work permit? because Mourinho went to the hearing and told the panel that if he was any other nationality he probably would have played 75% of games for his country (seriously..that was their appeal!) but it's wasn't his fault that Brazil were so good and therefore never picked him and it went through fine.

This is like when you're sat in a low quality restaurant, and you've ordered a meal you know you probably won't enjoy, and then waited glumly for an hour for them to bring it to you, and then the waiter comes over to the table and says, sorry, they've ran out of food.
I don't really care if we sign Agudelo or not - let's face it, these budget players from the States aren't much cop anyway - but it pisses me off that we've spent all this time waiting around only to be told we can't have him.

The sad thing is that it won't help English football. The FA have as much power as me on the future of English football.
