Can see Pulis getting it and coming in for Huth in January. Huth moved his family (wife and kiddie) down to London a few season's ago. If Pulis can get a few results early doors and close the gap I can see him being tempted. Hysterics don't come much more hysterical than that.

They could do worse. I'd imagine he'd at least make them harder to beat.
Be good to see him back in the Prem.

www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=138562Another slightly mental, 'special' set of supporters. I think it's fair to say that if they want di Matteo anywhere near their club, they've taken complete leave of their senses. Then again, some of the stuff on here before Hughes was appointed was crazy. Even some of our supporters mentioned di Matteo.

Palace fans favourite Mark Bright getting in to bed with the TP approach may help to get any dubious supporters on board:
Analysis Mark Bright BBC football pundit and former Crystal Palace striker "We played a direct style under Steve Coppell in the late 80s and early 90s.
"We had two wingers, two strikers, and a strong midfield which pushed up, played it long, turned them round and scored goals.
"Palace fans are not going to be complaining about style if they can stay in the Premier League, trust me."

Well I've just listened to Holloway talking at todays press conference and he talks about them having to change style, to prioritise with defence, not to pass the ball out and get caught out, He said that is not the way he wants to play, it is not what he does but maybe that is what Palace need right now.
Sounds to me as if he has already sounded his mate Pulis out and has recommended to the chairman that he is the man that takes over.
After listening to that I cant see this not happening.

Wait until they see 1 4 4 1 1 And it might be a different tune, still like TP says he's never been relegated although if Marcus Hall's wife hadn't gone into labour before Watford away might have been a different story although I'm sure the former Coventry left back would have tucked away the volley his replacement the former dutch international winger Hoekstra did.

Knowing how Tony spends the clubs revenue and his liking for very ordinary and past it players I have high hopes that we can offload JW & Crouchy for a nice sum of around 18 million or there abouts......luvly jubbly

Some of the stuff Hollowman said is interesting. Obviously it's only his opinion and - just as obviously - he comes across as the kind of bloke who will publically blame himself instead of players/club etc ... But he appears to be - as Mick from down Bristol way, says above - trailling Our Tone for the job, on his way out. (Looked at the other way ... he lacks the necessary to keep going when it gets a bit tough ... take your pick) What is said does make some sense. In the first season or two after promotion from the PL, just concentrate on keeping it tight and staying up. Although, as I've already put, you have to listen to that while remembering that it is a "nice way out" for the incumbent ( I don't want to have my team playing that way ... and which pundit, 20 games from now, isn't going to agree that no one other than Pulis would stoop to this). Hollowman is an odd character, too volatile to be a top flight manager, I think. But his (unwritten) recommendation is as much the opposite of him as anyone I can think of. But I do think - the usually clueless - Mark Bright is correct. In the short term, at least, the majority of Palarse fans will take anyone - with any style - who can keep them up. They've been here before and so I reckon will see stability over style as a good trade off (for a season or two, anyway). Anyway, if it's the challenge he's been looking for, I hope they give Our Tone* a go. They could do (a lot) worse and so could he. That said, it would be a big risk to his reputation ... As the Palarse chairman has pointed out, the primary reason to employ Our Tone is the never been relegated tagline on his CV; something that would come under real pressure trying to keep Palarse up with the big boys. A bigger/harder task than at our place, or not?? Interesting to ponder that ... Though he won't then be our any more ...

I bet Tony Pulis is chomping at the bit to take palace on, and why not?. guess the why not would be how much he wants to risk the "never been relegated" title? might be less strife involved in a championship club on the upward trajectory. best of luck to him if he takes it (as long as we're above them in the table)

Cant see him being daft enough to go there. To make them hard to beat you need at least competent defenders, which they don't have. Them and Sunderland don't look like having a hope in hell of staying up. Should never have sacked Holloway... he got them promoted 8 games ago. Should have backed him more over the summer and in January.

Seeing the noises coming from Crystal Palace, and the Holloway quotes, it's a little surprising that Pulis hasn't been brought in as Holloway's 'Gerry Francis' on a short term deal. Holloway is possibly the only manager that Pulis might have done that for. A similar arrangement at QPR gave McClaren a route back into management, and it does seem a little early to bin Holloway, so soon after promotion. Dave Kemp to return home... and Cameron Jerome

At the end of the day, on paper he has a very good CV, many years experience, shown great loyalty, had a great respect and relationship with his previous chairman and got an unfashionable club to the top flight after a 23 year absence.
While SCFC are going through a tough time this can only help his cause.
It was time for him to leave and if chosen, the Palace job would be difficult however he has several months to turn it around. If he does save them I'm sure the Palace faithful would over see the sometimes dour and boring style of play, until such time that is, lets face it, we did!
