Interesting that on Monday evening before the Fulham game Crystal Palace owner said that Holloway was the right man for the job and he looked forward to working with him for a long time. Just been confirmed on Talksport Holloway has gone. Resignation accepted and he's left by mutual consent.
Funny old game!

I know people are sick to death with the word Pulis but I actually believe HE'S A CERT for this job.

We want Palace to go down and Jones to leave, if it's Pulis it'll be neither of those ;D

I can 100% see Tony there. Why wouldn't they have him? His record with a club of that stature is unprecedented. Good luck to him if he does get it cos it's a tall order

I can't see Pulis going there either. I'm sure he'll be proud (and rightly so) of his record of never getting relegated, and there's a huge risk/probability? that it could come to an end at Palace.
8 games in, probably the weakest squad in the league, with player's confidence at an all time low, and no chance of signing anyone for another 2 and a half months, to fit a rigid system, that is as far away from Ian Holloway's footballing philosophy as it gets.
The location would certainly be a plus point, but beyond that, I really can't see him being too enthusiastic about it. He's been talking about going somewhere and 'building a football club' again. I just don't think that Palace fit in with all that.

Pulis struggled to keep Stoke up, no way he will keep their rubbish squad up. How short the memory is. Did you see our squad the first season? Every man and his dog had us as certs to go down. 12th and 11 points clear - yep real struggle that

No doubt Pulis will keep them up. He only just kept us up in his first season - taking over us outside the relegations slots - and without having transfer windows to constrain him (although little available money).

Holloway was on very dodgy ground with his comment about going to Liverpool and listening to the Kop singing YNWA being worth a 10-0 defeat. TP's comment about it always being an honour to play Man City wasn't very clever but that from Holloway was pathetic.
Palace are down, whoever takes the job.

Pulis is probably their best chance of staying up - but it will be very difficult to succeed.

Bit early to judge, only 8 games. We need to give the new man a chance to sort things surely.

Tone cannot afford to lose his relegation invincibility, think Boro is perfect for him, his Palace job would be his poisoned chalice. I hink Freedman gets fired at Bolton and returns/ goes to Palce.
