Extra £71million in TV money, only £5million spent on players.
Answers on a postcard to Stoke City c/o Peter Coates's arse pocket.

No doubt there is disappointment that we haven't backed the new manager with decent funds.

Exactly, people forget transfer fees are a fraction of the money involved in transfers.

Giving a manager big bucks doesn't necessarily mean success, Torres, Carroll, Kitson all prove that. Stein cost us £100k - surely part of a managers job is to get great VFM, time will tell how LMH deals with that aspect of his job...

Big money signings usually warrant big money wages, a luxury we can't afford thanks to previous transfer windows and the new fair play thing.
I think we've had a fantastic window regardless.

It's nonsense. If we spend no more we will likely make a few quid that will put a dent into the big loss last year.

I'd be just as happy now if we shift 3 or 4, maybe make a few mill but more importantly lose a few mill off the wages.

Didn't we post a rather large loss last season? That was BET 365 writing off the cumulative debt from their investment in previous seasons and not the debt accrued in one season.

Is it your money....I don't think so. Is it public money...I don't think so. Have the Coates family put millions of their own money into the club....I think they have. I don't believe for a moment that it's gone into their arse pocket, but if they wanted to do that, I think they would be entitled to.

I didn't say it was but it's still a loss nevertheless, Pugs is attempting to treat this years TV revenue in isolation, when we've spent bucket loads on players and salaries since promotion.

Obviously recouping the investment. Don't blame them if I'm honest. This. WTF do people expect? Solid gold seats, along with the girl of your dreams serving up popcorn and Pedigree while Messi lays it off to Rooney who slips a beautiful pass in to Ronaldo? Take a look at the price of your ticket...

TP did what they needed him to do last season. Got us the mega bucks for this year, also got us the mega parachute payments if it all goes tits up. Job done as far as Bet365 (probably not PC) is concerned - from here on in they start raking it back in!!

I think if we suffer no major loss from our current regulars tonight then we will show a lot of clubs up this season who are throwing money around like it is going out of fashion.
