Are you all thick, can't you see this is a smoke screen, pc is not going to show his hand until his man signs on the dotted line, do you think he would sack pulis without someone up his sleeve, give the bloke some credit!

Not sure about this negativity towards MON either, Sunderland were poor yes but again three quarters of that team was not his. If someone had said MON was coming to Stoke two years ago people would of been saying "what have you been smoking, we have no chance". My point is you do not become a bad football manager overnight, his Villa team was very very good.
I'd be more than happy with O 'neill myself.
It's like Sven,Sven has done so much in the game, he has that much successful experience & Knowledge and just like any job you don't just lose this in a couple of years.
MON imo would be a fantastic appointment. O Neill is a simalar style to TP but give him 2 or 3 years to get his own players in and we will be playing a lot better football than TP.

I could see MON in for a couple of seasons with Phil Neville as his no.2 taking over once established...

When O'Neil first went to Sunderland, they didn't look bad, but when he brought in his own players this season they are the most boring side I've seen, more so than Stoke.

When O'Neil first went to Sunderland, they didn't look bad, but when he brought in his own players this season they are the most boring side I've seen, more so than Stoke. I myself would prefer to judge him over the course of a career than 1 & half years at Sunderland. He was there for one & a half years, spent about £20M on two players, 1) Steven Fletcher, a big success & 2) Adam Johnson who has so far not lived up to what he is obviously capable of. He was sacked on 30th March one point above the drop zone. Whereas we kept TP who had spent £100M on a team of players which everyone of which can be called his own. One & a half years at a football club is nothing, even Ferguson has said you need 2 to 3 years at a club to really stamp your mark on the team/squad. Pulis had 7 whole years to build a team that still was far from an oil painting, each season trying to correct the mistakes made in the previous transfer window. I can't help but wonder what MON could achieve (football wise) with 7 years & £100M where each and every player is his own.

Why is this then, he bought in players like Ashley Young & Milner, they were playing some very good fast paced counter attacking football under MON?

I have registered to become a member of the Villa message board to get a varied opinion on O Neil Fair play, interested to know just how varied it is because my villa mates are already taking the piss. EDIT: Sorry just seen your new thread. Good work; "He's a pube-headed, Judas poison dwarf with a one-dimensional style of football. Continue with Plan A. If Plan A does not work there is no Plan B. Buys inadequate players for extortionate money then plays them out of position. Regular as clockwork substitutions. I'm not his biggest fan." Sound familiar?, I doubt Coates will see a 60 year old as being progress from Pulis Ball. A smoke screen if ever I saw one. Well I hope so....!
