fish see you got your first season ticket when you were 11,,who paid for it and your the one talking shite and why are you on a Stoke board, especially at this time Fishpaste is always welcome on here so, with respect, stop acting like a fool and giving it the "why are you here?" shit.

1. MON is over 60. That's hardly the direction we want to go in, is it? 2. My mate is an ex-bookie. He reckons betting odds on new managers are the biggest load of horse shit ever.

fish, you have over 2600 post on here, you another one, pure clown Steady on....Will stick up for the captain on this thread. One of the few opposing fans who comes on Oatcake regular enough, and has the respect of most on here that he doesn't come on giving it the big bollocks & or spouting antagonising comments. If its someone who has at least a proper idea on the Mackem view then "fish" is always welcome.

So how does O'Neil fit into the new criteria of young, vibrant with investment in youth?
Ask any Sunderland fan. He spends loads and ignores youth completely.
He single handedly took them to the precipice.
He even left a spare seat on the dugout bench for a player when he had injuries, rather than picking a youth player. Capt. will confirm that.
Shit appointment.

I can't believe this is true.
Surely this is just money going on, based on Collymore's tweet -which was late and was reacting to chat around a very brief suspension of betting a couple of hours earlier.
Skybet suspended betting on MON for aobut 10 minutes - and then the panic passed, and he was back on available to bet on at 16/1.
Was there any further suspension prior to Collymore's tweet?
I'd have anyone ahead of O'Neill - even Mark Hughes' mother or grandmother!

I am quite a fan of MON but I just can't fathom any logic in his appointment given the change of direction quotes. Long ball no fullbacks very little emphasis on youth development. Just doesn't strike me as a runner. Who knows?

I used to be pro MON but it's pretty obvious that without John Robertson he's useless. He's exactly like Pulis.
It goes against everything the club have come out with regarding new directions and would suggest something more sinister behind the removal of Pulis.

I've said it before, what better way for the Coates family to appoint a new manager than to take the other bookies for mugs along the way.
I bet they've all put a grand each on at different bookies and sitting back podding themselves at them for in the end looking mugs

Hahaha Don't panic Mr Mainwaring........ I'm amazed at the level of hysteria and panic over something that is essentially nothing new but a few bets....... Rafa and Hughes came down previously so lets not assume this means anything!

Do you really think the stoke mouth piece 'the sentinel' would put a young and vibrant manager and then appoint MON?
If you really want make some money put a grand on him not being the manager and then watch his odds tumble.
The Coates family must really be laughing at rival bookies getting it so wrong

The fact everyone thought Mark Hughes had got the job as he was odds on fave, shows that until the club actually say xxx is the man we want, we shouldn't read too much into it

The facts about MON:
Great C.V. Decent guy. Good with the press. Not old in football management terms. Safe pair of hands. Vastly experienced. Never been relegated. Hugely respected in the game.
Both him and Hughes are good managers, but for some reason not popular with Stoke fans.

Would've been relegated had Sunderland not sacked him, Sunderland side he put out last season was shite, played crap football, why would we want him to replace TP?

Why is Fishpaste getting such a savaging. As far as I can work out, as a Mackem, he's going to have some worthwhile views on MON as a potential successor to Pulis.
Fishpaste, ignore all this nonsense. What do you reckon to MON potentially coming to Stoke?
