By the sounds of it from TP's interview.
Will we see him again?
'We wanted to give him a go, and he's just found out what English football is about' His tone sounded less than enthusiastic when asked about him.
On the other hand, Walters will be handed the opportunity to take the penalty if we get one next week!

Plots being lost left right and centre.
If Walters has ANYTHING about him then he will relinquish penalty duties voluntarily.

He's just found out what Pulis' football is all about. He's probably wondering what he's got himself into

How else is he going to make the step up? On loan?
Cameron looked equally vulnerable in his first game when he knew he was in the starting 11. I'm not convinced that Shea would have played today until Etherington had to go off
He got himself in the penalty box to "win' our penalty and looked a bit better in the 2nd half.
If we had gained a point or more I guess he would have been a bit more positive

Shea looked okay going forward but clueless defensively. He will learn though.
What did Pulis say about him?

Yet the boss who splashed countless millions on them continues to get a free pass?

If Shea had been given the chance to take the penalty we would probably have bagged at least a point today! I would also have given him the chance to take the free kick which Whelan crashed into the wall! What is Walter's stastics on penalties, 1 in 2? I think as a team's penalty taker it should at least be close to 4 in 5!

Also the op typed what he said. I didn't say it was my 'main worry' but I suppose if you have an agenda you might read it that way. The two most important things would be pace and crossing ability but he will need to defend as well some of the time.

I'm about to give up. Brek hasn't played for 15 (or was it 18?) months and is given his first start at an away game. That's poor man-management by TP. Why not let him get proper fit first and give him some run-outs in friendlies and a proper pre-season? Why the hurry to get him on the pitch? It's also his first match for us - he need time to adapt. It is far, far, far to early to judge him after one match!

Agenda? Whereas yours is more of an obsession or love. If pulis does go, would you go with him?

Brek will learn, but from bits I read online, he's an attacking midfielder and has never been anything else.... We knew what we were buying. In time he will be class.... Unfortunately it will take somebody who knows what they're doing so he would probably do well at say Swansea, but here he will be stifled and restricted, allowed no freedom.

The only ones who need to go are the turgid 200.
Then the 39,800 can enjoy the amazing success of our club without the fantasy criticism.

My point is that it would have been wiser took ease him into playing by doing so at home. My bad.

It is far, far, far to early to judge him after one match! I hate to be indelicate because I am new around here, but the brand of football you all play, it strikes me that you all have to take whatever chances you can offensively. I thought that was a brilliant way to start the Shea gamble -- assuming he will get some more time in the next few days. Based on all the grousing around here about TP I thought Shea would never play. Now he basically almost starts, and has a good chance to get some game to feel with a number of players you all have, and doesn't embarrass himself. I have no idea how Stoke or TP intends to win with Crouch on top and those silly long balls, but if that is a given, then I still think the guy can add some value to your team. What better way to give new players playing time as you sit in the neutral zone of the table. I wanted him to be a hero, and I saw his first day here in the states, and I think today was a damn fine day. (However, our season doesn't start until next week and I am in a hopeful mood.)
